Black Sabbath news

Black Sabbath

Well, only 50% of the post title is true. It is news, but it regards a 40 year old song. According to The Metal Den, they have obtained what they believe is one of the earliest and rarest bootleg recording of “Hand of Doom,” back from 1970. The details of whereabouts and the exact date of the recording are unknown, but the quality is pretty good. So, that’s the Black Sabbath tidbit for today. Expect more news in 2012, and hopefully Dr. Ozzy‘s tips pay off so we might actually see these guys breathing then.

Big Four gig announced

It’s on. The rumors came true, and they start in little ol’ England.

The Sonisphere Festival rumors have been in high gear and you know how we love our European summer vacations, so we’re here to confirm that we will indeed be at Knebworth House to kick off the weekend on Friday, July 8, 2011!!  Hanging with Anthrax, Megadeth, and Slayer last summer was just too much fun, so here we are doing the Big 4 shenanigans again and this will be the first time that we will all be on the same stage in the U.K.” said a statement on Metallica.com

Read full post here. Poster after the jump.

It’s safe to assume more dates will be announced. It’s also safe to assume that I have a boner. Oh, haha, not from this news… I have two monitors and I’m watching mature porn on the second one.

Oh yeah, tickets will be available here. Need I remind you that we’re giving away two Big Four DVDs in our giveaway? You still have time to enter, fool.

Sepultura won’t reunite with Max

I predicted it and boy, was I right. Before Sepultura took the stage to play ‘Arise’ in its entirety for the first time, they recorded a video for their fans, addressing Max Cavalera, among other things.

“Don’t listen to fucking rumors anymore. We are tired of listening to this fucking bullshit that Max [Cavalera] is saying all over the world, that there’s gonna be a reunion  and this and that. We’re here to say there’s no communication, there’s no talks about any type of reunion or any show with the Cavaleras. Igor is doing his job, Max is supposed to do his job, and we are doing our job.

We are Sepultura for 26 years and we celebrating this with a new album, a new deal and a new world tour. And I hope this is the end of fucking rumors and fucking lies, OK?!”

What the video after the jump.

I guess, this puts all rumors to rest. Someone ask Max Cavalera if a reunion is still happening. He seems to know more about the future of Sepultura than Sepultura themselves.

Death Metal time machine

December seems to be the month of death anniversaries. On the 8th, it was the 6th anniversary of Dimebag Darrell’s death and today it’s the 9th anniversary of “Evil” Chuck Schuldiner’s death.

So today German Rock Hard magazine, uploaded a video interview with Death, from 1991, which was originally released on the Rock Guerilla.tv-DVD Vol. 15. You can watch it after the jump.

Disclaimer: Not all Germans look like the interviewer Götz Kühnemund. At least, I don’t.
