Sepultura rocks in Rio
I don’t really know much about Sepultura‘s current lineup except that Max left and the black guy replaced him. My knowledge stops there, so before you bitch about the photo not being of the current lineup, please take into consideration the fact that I have the attention span of a dying frog.
Anyway, apparently Sepultura and Angra are confirmed for Rock In Rio 2011. The festival will take place between 23 September and 2 October, 2011, so basically one full year to go.
Check the official site of the festival here. Check out an amazing (but totally unrelated to this story) URL shortener here.
BBC Escape Plan
If you like bands with crappy names who scream a lot, The Dillinger Escape Plan should be right up your alley. Apparently they did some BBC session or something, I stopped reading halfway through so you figure it out, Einstein.
“At BBC in UK recording a session now….haven’t done one since 2004…will let you know songs and airtimes soon…. London tonight. Last ten days of tour…home stretch of devastation.

Voodoo Circle have a new album
Voodoo Circle are a band no one heard of. They will release an album nobody will listen to. That’s about it, really, but news is slow on a Sunday evening so there you go.
“Voodoo Circle, the German/British band featuring members of Primal Fear and Pink Cream 69, will release its sophomore album, “Broken Heart Syndrome”, on February 25, 2011 via AFM Records. The CD, which was once again mixed and mastered by Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Krokus), is described in a press release as “a huge step forward and shows the band’s boundless musical possibilities.“

Sounds pretty promising. I’ll check it out. Honestly… Right after a time traveling machine is invented. Cross my heart and hope your mom dies.
Metallica interview will blow your mind
Well, not really, but I wanted to get your attention, especially if you see this on Twitter or Facebook and go “Holy shit, I wonder what they say!!!” and you click frantically (fran-tic-tic-tic..) waiting to see what’s up, and then you see it was just a cheap journalistic trick and you start insulting my mother… Anyways…
Remember Metallica played (what I would call) a private corporate gig basically? They had a short setlist and you can look at shiny pictures of the event here, here, here and here.
But make the jump and watch an interview with them, from the same event.
Friday Top 10: Most pretentious non-metal videos
I consider music videos a proper art form, I really do. I’m actually quite saddened by how less important they are today, it used to be pretty exciting waiting for your favorite bands to release music videos when their new albums were due.
But some videos are just bad. Others are pretentious as hell, and what I mean by that is, they try to either be something they’re not or try to lecture the viewer about something. Most of them are just failed visual metaphors. So I’m gonna take a look at 10 of those videos. This is the non-metal edition, all-metal Top 10 coming next week, so stay tuned.
I should point out my credentials: Beer loving, Dorito eating couch potato with about 15 years of MTV watching experience. I know my shit. Ready for this? Make the jump.
