Keyboard tribute to Steve Jobs
Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater made a little tribute performance to Steve Jobs.
“Although I never met Steve Jobs personally, his work greatly influenced my life and my work. I’m grateful to have been touched by his wizardry and that he shared his vision with all of us. This is a song I wrote for my own iOS instrument called MorphWiz and is a tribute to an amazing and inspirational human being.”
Nice one.
R.I.P. Steve Jobs!

Reminder: One week left of our awesome giveaway
Since news is really really slow today, might as well whore out our ongoing giveaway, just in case you haven’t seen the link on the right.
We’re giving away five awesome Death Grip t-shirts, with the design you see above. More details (and the entry form) right here, baby.
All you have to do to enter is know how to write, so you can fill in your info, and that’s about it. Five random winners will be selected, and five awesome t-shirts will be sent their way, courtesy of Death Grip Clothing.
Good luck!
Robb Flynn also got interviewed
Robb Flynn of Machine Head got interviewed by a site called LocalBozo. I got a threat warning when trying to view the original site, so I’m not gonna link it here — I’m sure it’s an error, so no hate towards that site, but I simply can’t risk infecting our readers. Not that I care about their computers, I just think God will punish me for eternity. 🙁
You can listen to the chat above through the magic of embedding, though, because what else am I gonna post on the site today? Metal needs to be revived, yo, there’s barely anything to write about today.
Speaking of Machine Head, they’re on another festival with Limp Bizkit, and yet again, they are below them in the lineup. Haha!
We weren’t around when the drama happened, but Metalsucks were, so you can read about it here (for nostalgia factor, or if you’ve never heard of it).
Bullet For My Interview
Very slow news day, so might as well annoy you guys with a band everyone probably hates: Bullet For My Valentine.
It’s not even with their vocalist, but their bassist, Jason James (sounds like half of 90s Metallica).
Watch the interview above, or don’t. I really don’t care.
Metal world: Wake up!
Meet the biggest mouth in the world
I don’t think a bigger mouth than Steven’s exists, so if you want to witness the 9th wonder of the world in person, there’s a chance for you to do that.
Where? At Macy’s at Herald Square in NYC.
Just make sure to bring a camera with a very wide lens, if you want to take a photo of the whole thing.
I don’t have any other details to offer, maybe because I’m lazy. This is a good opportunity to learn how to use Google, dammit. I’m not your fucking slave.
