The Prince of Darkness is richer than you
This is what Ozzy Osbourne drives. You’d expect him to roll around in a Batmobile type of car or something, but nope, he owns a Ferrari 458 Italia.
Being a Black Sabbath vocalist reality TV star sure pays well, huh?
I wouldn’t trust Ozzy on a bike, let alone a 568 hp beast. But hey, it’s not like he ever hit anyone or anything. Oh wait, yes he did. Shit.
This does beg the question, why is he driving around in a Ferrari and not in a Lamborghini Murciélago? Murciélago means bat in Spanish, so you know, seems a bit more fitting.
Anyway, if you live in the Los Angeles area and see a black Ferrari do what Mark does when he sees a girl: RUN.
Andreas Kisser kisses the Big Four
Scott Ian is a dad, so Sepultura‘s Andreas Kisser filled in for him on a bunch of shows. What does he think of the whole experience? Let’s just say he’s probably as excited as Ian’s son.
“It was amazing. Anthrax… I mean, all the four bands here are the DNA of my guitar playing. I started listening to them, the heavier music, and I wanted to play the same. They were my teachers. And to be here, it’s just… I don’t think even a dream. I [couldn’t have] dreamt something like that to happen. And the good thing is it’s a very positive situation. Scott is not sick, [he doesn’t have a] a broken arm or something like that. It’s very, very positive. It couldn’t be better. So I’m very honored to be here, by these guys, and jam. We’re having fun.“

I have to agree with him. He’s in an awesome situation. Scott is just taking time for his family so the vibe within the band is very positive, unlike the vibe of a band who just lost a member or stuff like that. Must be pretty awesome.

Random dose of metal: Anthrax
It’s not often that I see a video that is both intentionally and unintentionally funny. ‘Madhouse’ definitely fits in both categories.
Obviously meant to be humorous, the video features ridiculous scenes which are kinda funny, in a ‘ain’t that silly? lol’ kind of way.
But there’s nothing making me laugh more than the image of Scott Ian with more hair on his head than on his chin. Or the super high-tech intro.
How do those cabinets appear there? It’s MAGIC. It’s not like they turned the camera off, added another one, turned it back on and so forth. They probably had ILM working on it or some shiz.
Sully Erna is a brilliant comedian
Sully Erna is really funny. Unintentionally funny. Because aside from reviewing his own albums, he’s also reviewing his band’s stage show:
“I truly believe in my heart that, pound for pound, Godsmack is one of the best live performances out there. We’ve spent the last 15 years performing. We are good at it, great at it. . . I believe we can go up against anybody live. Foo Fighters, Rage Against The Machine, those guys are unbelievable live. They’re so good, so intense, so powerful. I think we’re that good. We take a lot of pride in what we do and put on the best show we can.“

Haha… Good one, Sully. Keep it modest.
Fuck Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Metallica, and all the other moderately decent live bands. If you want to have your world rocked, go to a Godsmack concert.
Mötley Crüe blames Poison tour on fans
Instead of keeping his mouth shut and just focusing on being positive, Nikki Sixx keeps stirring the pot about the Poison tour:
“When the concept to do something this summer came up, the economy is in such a bad state that we were going, ‘How can we do something that is different and the fans feel like they’re getting a bang for their buck?’ We loved the idea of the New York Dolls, so it was a matter of filling in the blank. Fans were really pushing for Poison, and we were like, [they] were something that happened after us [in the ’80s]. It wasn’t really what I or the band wanted to do, but you have to listen to the fans and we’re really engaged with the fans. I talked to Bret [Michaels] and said, do you still believe in rock ‘n’ roll? And he said, ‘I live and breathe it.’ It will be a great night of hits.“

Let me translate: Mötley Crüe didn’t want to tour with Poison, but times are tough and they need to sell tickets, so fans wanted Poison and they had to cater to them and the financial prospects. But now that it’s happening, they will just blame it on the fans instead of taking full credit for their business decision.
Why don’t musicians just shut up and focus on the music? If fans wanted Poison, simply stop talking about it and do your thing.
