New Linkin Park video! Cover your eyes!
If there’s one thing I like about Linkin Park, is that they… Wait, I don’t like anything about them.
Anyway they’ve got a new video out for their new song “Insert name here if you care.” I guess it’s off their new album which had 20 interludes.
Umm, not much I can say as I truly don’t give a crap, but you can check out a sneak peak right here, yo. Now you know what to hide from.
New Opeth artwork looks ‘happy’
Opeth revealed the artwork for their upcoming album and is it just me, or does it look like a Miley Cyrus CD?
What’s with all the colors and why are the band members placed in a tree? Is it a metaphor?
One bad apple spoils the bunch… You can grow a better band in a tree… What are they telling us?
Help!
Full cover after the jump.
Anthrax reviewed their upcoming album already
The reviews are in for Anthrax‘s upcoming studio effort, Worship Music. And wouldn’t you know it, they’re written by two band members. Don’t worry, it’s not like they’re biased or anything.
Here they are:
“With Joey singing them, they sound like classic Anthrax. The hair on my arms stood up when he started singing them. It was Anthrax once again”
– Charlie Benante
“The songs like sound like metal. They sound like Anthrax circa 1987 through a 2011 filter.”
– Scott Ian
“There is a lot of aggression, emotion and power. I feel like this is once again back to our New York style and attitude.”
– Charlie Benante
So I’m guessing both of them agree that the new album kicks ass. It’s safe to say these impartial reviewers gave the album 5 stars out of 5.

Here’s some footage of Philm
Dave Lombardo kicks your ass when he’s in Slayer. Now he’s trying to kick your ass in an experimental, jazzy/funky/weirdy sort of band, too.
Philm‘s sound is such a salad of genres that any attempt to describe it will make me sound like a pretentious piece of shit.
So why don’t you just watch the video and shut up, so I can shut up as well.
We cool, G?
The other Korn members aren’t Stillwell fans
Fieldy gave an insightful interview about his relationship with former Korn guitarist Head and about the other members of Korn’s opinion on his side project. I use ‘insightful’ loosely, because who cares, right? But still, maybe you have weird tastes in music and actually give a damn, so here you go:
“It seems I’ll get in touch with [Brian ‘Head’ Welch] about once a year or so. I’m probably about due to call him and say what’s up. But he’s out touring with his band. To tell you the truth, I don’t even know what happened with him leaving Korn. I know some goofy words were said back and forth, but I bet you nobody in Korn could even tell you for sure. I think it’d be cool if he came back and rocked with us. I’d be down. But there’s three other dudes in the band, so I don’t know.“
Is he saying what I think he’s saying? Could Head eventually come back in Korn? Is Korn gonna mix Christian Metal with their delightful mix of rock, rap and whatever else they include in their amazing sound? Wow!!! Sounds AWESOME!
“They actually watch us almost every night, but they don’t seem very animated about things, for some reason. They’re not coming up to me, like, “Dude, that is sooo dope!” But I’ll see Jonathan watching us from the side of the stage from time to time. I saw Munky watching us from the soundboard the other night.“

Can you really blame Jonathan and Munky for not going “That is sooo dope!” about Stillwell? No one can lie with such conviction.
