Friday Top 10: Best AC/DC songs
AC/DC… One of the biggest bands on Earth and probably one of the best. Their simple riffs and simple drum beats magically worked together to create some of the most amazing songs in existence. There is really nothing else to say about them except that they’re legends, they’re brilliant, and they are better than your favorite band.
When it comes to selecting their top ten songs, it’s not easy. Surely everyone will love the entries in this top, but when it comes to the order, I’m sure there are many different opinions.
So make the jump if you want to read my take on what their best songs are. You have the right to disagree, of course, but that won’t make you right. By making the jump you accept my amazing opinion as being pure fact.
Ozzy won’t cry over Black Sabbath
Ozzy was part of a legendary metal band. THE metal band, as far as I’m concerned. So it’s no surprise that the press will always nag him with Black Sabbath-reunion-related questions.
So you’ll never guess what someone asked him in a recent interview. I’ll give you a hint: It was about whether or not a Black Sabbath reunion would happen.
“I haven’t got a clue. If they want to call me, they can call me. I never say never. If it works, fine. If it don’t, I’ll move on. It ain’t the end of the world. I ain’t gonna get a box of Kleenex and cry my eyes out for the rest of my life. […] We’re not kids anymore. I don’t wanna bullshit them and I don’t want them to bullshit me. Why should I go back to that and be unhappy when I’m happy right now? I mean, I would love to do a great album with Black Sabbath. I would love to get the credit we so roundly deserve. At the same time, the pressure would be really intense. I could go tomorrow and make an album with them, but it wouldn’t necessarily be something I would be proud of.“

Can a new Sabbath album be worse than his reality show? What is he worried about? I say go for it.
South Park makes fun of Slash
South Park is a brilliant show. What it does is, they take current pop culture events and make fun of them by making an analogy. How that works is, something similar to current day events happens in the small town of South Park, and the way it happens there is sarcastic, ironic and cute, and it usually ends with one of the small boys making a rant which reflects the views of the creators. Isn’t this just genius?
15 seasons of this amazing type of humor which is not repetitive, unfunny, self-indulgent or badly animated in any way, shape or form have blessed our TVs and we have a feeling they’re not gonna quit soon. Why would they? They’re as original and as fresh as ever. How can small town analogies get old in just 15 years? Get real.
Anyway, the latest South Park episode targets Slash. I don’t know exactly how or why but apparently he appears as a constellation near the end. I don’t know why and I don’t care cause I don’t watch this show. But in case one and a half decades of the same type of jokes haven’t bored you yet, check out some scenes after the jump.
Amazing show.
How many times can you cover Walk This Way?
I like ‘Walk This Way,’ I think it’s a good song. But haven’t Aerosmith done enough damage with their Run DMC cover, that gave people the okay to mix rock with hip-hop? Just how many times are we planning to cover this song?
Apparently, many many more times…
“Jedward and their quiffs show no signs of flopping. They are in talks for their biggest collaboration yet – with Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler on a new version of the rockers’ 70s hit Walk This Way.“

If you don’t know who Jedward are, good. Neither do we. But the prospect of yet another silly cover of this classic song makes me puke in my mouth. Hopefully it’s just a silly rumor.
Sepultura is not reuniting, mmkay?
Sepultura frontman Derrick Green just squashed some barely-existent rumors about his band reuniting with Max Cavalera (which would mean replacing Derrick, ouch).
“That’s all they are, rumors. I mean nobody has contact with [Max] or anyone in his band. And he’s doing his own thing. The reunion, I think, is with his brother [Igor]. I’m happy to see Igor with his family again. It was 10 years that they didn’t speak. I think for the people that really wanted the reunion, there it is. They can go see them and check that out and be happy because I know that we are happy in what we’re doing and we keep pushing forward and we keep doing what we love to do and we’re always going to represent Sepultura in a positive manner because it’s truly what we believe in.“

Woah, settle down there Derrick. I know you’re not happy hearing about being replaced all the time but no need to get so defensive about it.
I’m kidding, I really think he answered that question with a lot of tact since I can name about 10 other frontmen who would have slammed the hell out of Max just to answer this question. But I do think a Cavalera-heavy Sepultura album is just a few good paychecks away.
