Video of the Week: Death Angel
Death Angel started in 1982, yet in the video above, which comes off their latest album ‘Relentless Retribution’ from 2009, they still look young as hell. At least, younger than all the other bands that started around that time.
Fun fact, Death Angel vocalist Mark Osegueda, who was a roadie for the band before joining, did his first gig with Death Angel at a concert with Megadeth, who featured Kerry King on guitars during that time. Sweet, huh?
So anyhow, the video above for ‘Truce’ was the latest music video from Death Angel so far. Check it out, it’s killer.
Weekly Dose of Metal: Allhelluja
Allhelluja are a Stoner Metal band from Italy, that once featured former Hatesphere vocalist Jacob Bredahl (not pictured above).
There’s not much I can tell you about Allhelluja. They formed in 2003 and released three albums since, the first two featuring Jacob Bredahl. I haven’t listened to the latest album but the first two albums feature laid back Stoner Metal. Perfect music to get… well, stoned to.
This following song ‘Nervous Titter’ comes off the 2005 album ‘Inferno Museum’.
Shining release new song
Sweden’s Shining recently left their previous label, which held back the release of their 7th album ‘VII: Född Förlorare.’
And now that they’re signed to a new label (read the first link), they finally released the first song of their upcoming album and it’s called ‘Förtvivlan Min Arvedel’. Listen to it below. Personally, I like it, even though it’s much softer than their previous material and I was expecting something heavier.
Also, is it just me or does the acoustic part sound just like the acoustic part of ‘Yttligare Ett Steg Närmare Total Jävla Utfrysning’ off of ‘V: Halmstad’? Judge for yourself (The part I mean starts around 1:17 on this song and at around 3:26 on the song below).
Thrash ’til Death – Big Four times four, part 4
Welcome to the fourth and last edition of Thrash ’til Death, four lists of four of my favorite Thrash Metal bands, each list led by a genuine Big Four band. Lots of “fours” in there, eh?
We started with Metallica, then it was Slayer’s turn and after that, Megadeth had the lead so now it’s time for Anthrax. Make the jump for this last piece of a four (oh another “four”) week Thrash special.
Live Review: Six Feet Under 04-04-2011
When Six Feet Under announced their new lineup, which now includes three members of Chimaira, and then shortly afterwards announced a short tour with a stop in Cologne, I just had to get a ticket. Because I live one hour away from that city. A week before the gig, Debauchery were added to the touring lineup as special guests.
Check out my live review after the jump. All the pictures included in this article were either taken by me or a friend of mine.
