Interview: Prophet (St. Madness)
What you see above are four guys from Arizona who don’t take themselves too seriously and sure as hell know how to rock. When you look at the picture and think “Juggalo!” then you’re damn wrong, if you think “Black Metal!” then you’re damn wrong aswell. These guys, St. Madness, play Metal the way it should be played: loud, heavy, rocking and they’re having lots of fun doing it.
Prophet, singer and lyricist of St. Madness, turned to us via our ‘Your Band’ campaign, in hopes for us to review their latest album ‘Saintanic’. The review of said album will be available next Monday, as part of the Spotlight category. But I also interviewed Prophet and you can read the interview after the jump.
Tuesday Trivia: The most fucked up
I’m taking over. For this week only, I’m taking over Simo’s Tuesday Trivia to cover the most fucked up man in the history of Rock, GG Allin. Varg Vikernes, Niklas Kvarforth and Marilyn Manson (ha!) have nothing on this guy.
I need to inform you first that some of the content after the jump is not safe for work so do yourself a favor and read this when you’re at home, preferably when children aren’t around.
Cannibal Corpse DVD previews
Even though the image above suggests otherwise, George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher does have a face. It would be pretty awesome if Cannibal Corpse were so brutal that they melted their vocalists face though.
Cannibal Corpse are going to release a new DVD on March 15 and to get their fans hot for the release, uploaded four video previews. Watch three of the four previews after the jump, as the 3rd one isn’t available at the moment.
Tom Araya health update
Sandra Araya, Tom Araya’s wife, has issued an update on Tom’s health issues that led to a hospitalization and a cancelation of a concert in Sydney, Australia. We originally reported about it yesterday.
On Facebook, Mrs. Slayer posted the following update:
“TOM’S HEALTH… He was suffering from VERTIGO due to EXTREME DEHYDRATION – AND LACK OF REST! Our Doctor is in the process of getting the results on the test that were ran (major time zone difference and being the weekend has held up those results) Hopefully there will be nothing more to add after the results are returned.”
Screenshot after the jump.
So, it doesn’t sound that bad. Someone needs to drink a beer more often!
Spotlight: Cause For Revelation, Falling Anvils, Ratzinger
Spotlight on, we’re covering artists who turned to us via our ‘Your Band’ form. If you’re in a band and want us to cover you for a review or an interview, go here. These following bands have contacted us for reviews of their latest works. Let’s get right into it after the jump.
