Get your dose of Destruction
German Thrash Metal giants Destruction (God, I sound like I’m writing for Blabbermouth) are going to release their new album ‘Day of Reckoning’ next week on February 18 in Europe and on March 8 in the States.
Can’t wait for the album but don’t feel like illegally downloading the album? Well, Destruction are now streaming the entire album on Facebook. So Facebook is good for something else than some shitty movie with a shitty soundtrack, I see.
So, go and get your dose of Destruction (puns on our name are oh so easy) now!
Weekly Dose of Metal: Alestorm
It’s time for another Dose of Metal. Twis week we’re bringing you Alestorm, True Scottish Pirate Metallers. That’s damn right, Pirate themed Metal. Yarr!
Alestorm started as Battleheart in 2004 but changed their name to Alestorm when they signed to Napalm Records in 2007. Ever since, Alestorm have been looting and molesting women all over Europe, like when they toured with Pagan Fest alongside Ex Deo, Unleashed and Korpiklaani. I’ve seen them live on that particular tour and I got to say that they are a lot of fun live.
This very song, called ‘That famous ol’ spiced,’ perfectly showcases Alestorm’s style of Pirate Metal. Yarr!
Metal wake-up service
Good morning. It’s 8 in the morning, where I’m at. I don’t know where you’re at, how could I but it must be morning somewhere else aswell. And if it’s not morning, where you’re at, at the moment, maybe it’s in the middle of the night and when you wake up, you find this shit attempt of an article and wonder just what the fuck that idiot wrote there.
So anyhow, I decided not to go to sleep a couple of hours ago because I don’t have to work until Wednesday so here I am, waiting for the supermarket next door to open, so I can buy a couple of cans of Red Bull. Or any other energy drink for that matter. And is there a better way to keep yourself awake than listening to some of the heaviest shit you got in your iTunes playlist? No. So I wondered, just what is the heaviest shit I got in my playlist?
Make the jump for the heaviest Metal I got to offer, all in alphabetical order or, as I’d like to call it, the Monday Morning Metal list.
Incoming: Debauchery
Debauchery is a German Groove/Death Metal band that started in 2000 and released six albums so far, played with some of the biggest bands of the Death genre and made frontman Thomas Gurrath lose his day job.
Meet Debauchery, a band that still gets unfairly called a Six Feet Under rip-off, after the jump.
Incoming: Hackneyed
In 2006 four kids from Germany, the youngest being 13 and the oldest being 17 years old, decided to start a band.
Within the next three years, this bunch grew from kids playing music together into a Death Metal band, that released two albums on one of the most respected Heavy Metal labels worldwide.
Meet Hackneyed after the jump.
