Ozzy makes people drive drunk
Look at that guy. The Prince of fucking Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne. He sure seems like an unpleasent fella, right? Right. Ozzy is so evil that he makes people drive when they’re drunk… through his music! He doesn’t even need to know you, nor talk to you directly, he will make you drive drunk. Just like that.
At least, that’s what 33-year-old William Liston thinks. After being stopped by the police for drunk driving, he claimed it was Ozzy Osbourne’s music that made him drive, “Ozzy Osbourne and his music made me do it”. Suuure.
I wonder what Osbourne will be charged with, ‘Using telepathy via his albums to brainwash innocent people into driving under the influence’? Even the Prince of Darkness can’t do that. Axl Rose can though. Pshh.
Max Cavalera is popular
Max Cavalera here. Max Cavalera there. Sepultura drama here. Soulfly drama there? It seems so. Earlier today, I promised you that I won’t post any more articles about the whole Sepultura reunion debacle, unless it turns into a bitchfight.
Now, imagine my sigh when I read that someone slammed Max Cavalera for “talking shit” and “lying” to the press. Surprisinly, it was no one from Sepultura though. They already did that earlier this month. This time, it was former Soulfly bassist Bobby Burns. Do I know who he is? Yes, he played the bass for Soulfly. I sure did my homework, eh?
Anyhow, according to Burns, Cavalera lied to the press about the circumstances surrounding Bobby’s departure from the band. Interesting.
More drama after the jump, with fancy YouTube videos and Facebook screenshots, so jump the fuck up!
Max Cavalera… Sepultura… yawn…
This got old three weeks ago. Max Cavalera, of Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy, formerly of Sepultura, still talks about reuniting with Sepultura, even though they made it clear that they don’t want to reunite with him and that they just want him to stop talking “bullshit”.
Two weeks ago, Mr. Cavalera talked about the reunion and that was just a couple of days after Sep posted their statement. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he didn’t see, read or hear their statement at the time. As of right now, someone in his camp surely should have told him about it, right? Well, it doesn’t seem so, because he still talks about it;
“People are asking me about this reunion thing. I’ve said many times before that I’d like to do it and I don’t even need to do it because both of my bands are doing really good — Cavalera Conspiracy and Soulfly are doing so good that I don’t even need a Sepultura reunion for my life. But I’d like to do it for the fans because they’re asking for it so much.”
Eh, I don’t have to add anything to that, do I? I will just say this: this is my last article about this ‘reunion’ debacle, unless it turns into a huge bitchfight, because I already almost fell asleep during writing this, I can’t imagine how you must feel.
Roadrunner Artists share their Top 10’s of 2010
You know how much we love Top 10 lists at Dose of Metal, as evident in our weekly Top 10 every Friday. So it comes in no surprise that I was very interested in seeing the Top 10 lists some musicians, including Robb Flynn of Machine Head, Mikael Akerfeld of Opeth and Bloodbath and Dave Ellefson of Megadeth, shared lately.
Let’s jump right into it after the jump.
Pantera piss on you
So Pantera released a Deluxe Edition of ‘Cowboys from Hell’ this year, including a previously unreleased song, called ‘The Will to Survive’. While said song was more Glamtera than Pantera, we’ll definitely get a previously unreleased Pantera song next year, when they’re releasing a Deluxe Edition of ‘Vulgar Display of Power’.
How do I know that it’s going to be Groove instead of Glam this time around? They premiered a 15-second snippet of the song on Headbangers Ball a while ago. At the time, I couldn’t listen to it because I don’t get Headbangers Ball over here but thanks to YouTube, you can now listen to the song no matter where you are.
Check out the 15-second snipped of the previously unreleased song ‘Piss’ after the jump.
