Review: Hemoptysis – Misanthropic Slaughter
Earlier today (yesterday if you’re in another timezone), Masaki Murashita, singer and guitarist of Hemoptysis contacted us to write about their upcoming album ‘Misanthropic Slaughter’.
To be honest with you, I wasn’t in the mood to listen to some grainy demo but man, was I surprised when I listened to said album. Check out my review after the jump.
By the way, if you’re in a band and you want us to write about you, contact us right here.
AC/DC Drummer Phil Rudd is a stoner
Two days ago, Phil Rudd, Drummer of AC/DC, was convicted in the Tauranga District Court for possession of cannabis found on his launch, Barchetta, on October 7. He was convicted for possessing 27 grams of cannabis.
Like a true stoner, Rudd is paranoid (haha… no wait, wrong band). In an interview with Stuff.co.nz, Phil said the following;
“They (police) have been trying to catch me on the road for a while too.”
Sure Phil, the police has nothing better to do than to follow aging rockstars to bust them for possession of 27 grams of cannabis.
Angus Young, who lives in the Netherlands, had no comment. I wonder why.
Grammy nominees announced
Yesterday during the “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music Biggest Night” this year’s Grammy nominees were announced.
We all know that the Grammy’s are the be all, end all of all metal award shows, so you should definitely check out the nominees for Best Hard Rock Performance and Best Metal Performance after the jump (or, if you’re smarter than I think you are, you can just read the huge list of tags beneath this post).
With past winners such as Korn, Deftones, Rage against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden, you just got to admit that the Grammy’s won lots of credibility for their Best Metal Performance category. Yeah right, what a load of shit. Make the jump anyhow because this year at least 4 of the 5 nominees are in fact metal.
Amon Amarth reveal upcoming album title and release date
Whatever you say, whatever you do, never forget that you’ll never be as metal as the viking horde Amon Amarth.
A while ago, they confirmed that they’re working on the follow-up to ‘Twilight of the Thunder God’. Now, Amon Amarth revealed that the upcoming album will be called ‘Surtur Rising,’ due on March 29, 2011.
Read on after the jump for some info about Surtur and some more stuff about the album.
