Def(Metal)tones
German technical Death Metallers, War From a Harlots Mouth have posted a cover version of Deftones’ Hexagram on their Facebook page.
Check it out at the link above. That’s if Death Metal bands you’ve never heard of, covering 90’s Nu-Metal bands, is your thing. I’d check it out myself, but it seems googling “War From a Harlots Mouth” brings up porn, so you know, I’m a bit busy now…
Stone Sour Hesitate
Christmas comes early for Pop fans this year. The Backstreet Boys Stone Sour, great fans of one dimentions, have released their latest smooshy ballad, titled Hesitate.
You can check out the brand new video for the track after the jump.
Dimmu Borgir post Dimmu Borgir
Dimmu Borgir have posted a new video for their imaginatively titled song, Dimmu Borgir (guess they’ve run out of ideas).
Is the video any good? I have no idea, I didn’t watch it, and no it has nothing to do with my dislike for gothic drag queens attempting to write music. No, it seems that the video is blocked in my country. If you’re from a country that doesn’t suck, try watching the video after the jump.
Scott Ian: ‘touring is hard’
According to a recent interview with Anthrax guitarist, Scott Ian, conducted by Attention Deficit Delirium, the hardest thing, both physically and mentally, for the band is touring. That’s odd, because I would have thought that finding a singer was harder, since they’ve had about 50 million already. Or possibly even getting that racoon taped to Scott’s chin to stay in place whilst he headbangs. But what do I know?
The interview and more information can be found over at Blabbermouth.
Rob Halford knows his shit
If you thought the only things Rob Halford was knowledgeable on are music, ageing with grace, and NASCAR, then you are wrong. Because the Metal legend also knows his sports shit. Well so I’ve been told anyways.
According to Blabbermouth, Rob recently talked with TheScore.com to discuss his other passion, sports. The Judas Priest frontman is an avid baseball and basketball fan, and is also developing a taste for hockey, saying the sport’s balls-out style reminds him of rock and roll. And of course, Rob is a great fan of balls being out.
