The Agonist mosh Worcester
Some fan-made live footage of The Agonist performing in Worcester, Massachusetts has made its way onto the internet. I live in Worcester, but luckily not the American one. Phew that was close. In all fairness though, jokes aside, I wouldn’t mind seeing this band in action. Take a look at the picture above and see if you can guess why.
In other news, the band are also working on the follow up to 2009’s Lullabies For A Dormant Mind.

Download announcement soon
All you Download festival go-ers will be happy to hear that a big announcement will be coming November 29th, which will include 2 of the 3 headliners being announced. Also, early bird tickets will be available from December 3rd.
Lots of rumors have been circulating regarding possible headliners, with the following names all being mentioned: System of a Down, Foo Fighters, Muse, Sound Garden, Bon Jovi and Van Halen. We can only hope and pray that most of those aren’t true.
You can follow the organiser, Andy Copping, to get all your Download news straight to your Twitter feed.
Slash and Myles Kennedy get a room
A room to record the next Solo album together in, that is, as according to an interview with The Sunday Mercury, Slash has announced that the next album will have touring vocalist, Myles Kennedy, handling all the vocals this time.
Slash also speaks about the next tour, and how Donington and Download are the best places to play in the world (and of course he doesn’t say that about every place, right?)
Anyways, great news, now I won’t have to listen to that transgender chick from the Black Eyed Peas wailing over the top of Slash‘s riffs.
Epica make way to the UK
“Epic” Scandinavian female-fronted symphonic Metallers (God, more Scandinavian female-fronted symphonic bands?) Epica have announced some UK tour dates for next year.
Read the dates after the jump to find out which towns to avoid and when.
AC/DC Download an award
When I first heard about this, I just assumed AC/DC were cheap, technology had advanced, and the band had just downloaded an award. Turns out I was wrong though.
Apparently, the band have won the UK ‘Headline Performance Of The Year’ award, for their performance at this year’s Download Festival. It was indeed awesome (but that was mostly because I was there), but they don’t have a lot to rival them. Who’s their next biggest rival to the award? Guns N’ Posers turning up an hour late at Reading and then throwing a hissy fit when they get cut off? Hardly.
Well, speaking on behalf of everyone at DoM, congratulations AC/DC and to Download for their award.
P.S. Did I mention I was there?
