System of a back!

The title of this post doesn’t make sense? Well neither does System of a Down‘s name.

Ignore my last post, because THIS is the news of the century. Ok, maybe not quite, but this is one band I think a lot of people would be excited to see reform.

According to the official blog of Francis Zégut, host of the show “Pop Rock Station” on the French radio station RTL2, System of a Down will reform and perform at the Palais Omnisports de Paris Bercy in Paris, France on June 6, 2011. It is expected that System will also play a number of the European summer festivals as well. With a Download Festival announcement coming soon, is it possible System will be headlining Download? It’s a possibilty.

I just hope this news is true, if only so we don’t have to listen to any more solo efforts from Serj.

News of the century!

Holy shit! Forget about the two people above. Good news guys, the 1980s UK rock band Salem only went and reformed! And they’re going to play their first show in 27 years, tomorrow at The Adelphi, De Grey Street, Hull, England. In Hull too! The absolute epicentre of English awesomeness.

That’s so awesome! I would go and see them, but unfortunately I haven’t got a fucking clue who they are. Plus I’d probably end up getting my shoes robbed if I stepped a foot inside Hull.

Within Temptation are back

I’ve never really been within temptation to buy a Within Temptation album myself, but you may be interested to hear they’re back and working on a new album (especially if you like Nightwish and the 40 million other goFFic female-fronted symphonic Metal bands around).

In case you haven’t heard of Within Temptation before and you wonder what they sound like, I can tell you now. Right, go and find the nearest source for some music from Nightwish (try Youtube or Spotify), and listen to it. Right, that’s what Within Tempation sound like. Or you could just ignore my stupid ideas, and just listen to Within Temptation instead.

The new album is titled, The Unforgiving, and is expected to hit stores n March 2011. Expect it to sound like the last Within Tempation album, which also sounded like the last Nightwish album.

Exciter new song

Are you excited about Exciter‘s new album? No, me neither.

You may care that they have released the new song, Slaughtered In Vain, for streaming on their MySpace page. I don’t though. My excitement level is lower than Myspace’s current popularity level.

"Religious" groups at it again…

Honestly, I’m as tolerant as the next man, but what I do not like is these holier-than-thou, hypocritical religious groups that feel the need to push their beliefs onto everyone else. These groups are anything but tolerant, understanding or accepting, and the only thing they breed, is hatred and ridiculous out-dated idologies. And then they give the tolerant and liberal religous people a bad name.

What have they been up to this time? Well, according to Metal Obsession, an Australian-based religious group on Facebook has successfully protested against the running of a Black Metal mini-festival, dubbed “Black Mass” on the grounds that it promotes “Satanism.”

This is fascism and a disgrace. Now please excuse me while I go and pray to my Lord Satan to smite these parasites \m/
