Lord Filth
According to Kerrang, Cradle of Filth‘s verbal (and visual) diarrhea, Dani Filth, has some how acquired a lordship. Whatever; whether it’s Lord Filth, Mr Filth, Dani Filth. It’s all still Filth.
Lord Filth commented:
“I’m looking into what my title allows, whether that’s driving a flock of sheep through the town centre on a bank holiday or the keys to every inn and wine cellar in the county” commented the attention seeking Filth. “I’ve also been looking into a nice new country pile, the parties will be immense, the kind Lord Byron would throw if he had access to some Slayer albums.”
In other news, the band’s Darkly Darkly Venus Aversa is out now. So make sure to avoid that and buy some Slayer albums instead.
HEMIX
Scandinavian “Love Metal” band, HIM, have announced an official remix album of Screamworks: Love In Theory and Practice, will be released December 7th and titled SWRMXS.
Great news for those that loved it the first time round. You’ll soon be able to buy the same album all over again! Or if you’re like me, you can have the pleasure of not buying it all over again. HIM are full of imagination.
Bleeding Through don't care about sales
Bleeding Through frontman, Brandan Schieppati, was recently interviewed by Sonic Shocks. It’s been a while now since the band’s latest, and self-titled, album came out, but eh, why not bring it up again?
Brandon was asked how he felt about the response to the album, and his response to the question of the album’s response, was the follwoing response:
“I feel like the people that actually got it loved it. I’ve heard very few people criticize it; it’s had the best reviews in the press that we’ve ever had with any other record, and I feel like the kids that buy it really enjoy it. It’s weird, though, because it didn’t really sell very well, but like I said before, we don’t really care about that, about what our record sells. It’s record number six for us. How many people buy six albums by a band?”
Again we were right…
A few days ago, we reported that Iron Maiden had a special announcement coming today (click), and guess what? Surprise surprise, but DoM was once again right about something (when aren’t we right?)
Iron Maiden have announced a UK tour for next year. Remember you read it here first, before even Maiden announced it. Check out the dates after the jump.
Want more predicitions? I predict the tour will be awesome.
Skindred Union Black
Welsh Reggae-Ragga-Punk-Nu-Metal crossover rockers (and that is as horrendous as it sounds – think P.O.D. but without the religous propaganda), Skindred, have announced the title for their forthcoming album. It will be ‘cleverly’ titled, Union Black.
Expect it to be their darkest/heaviest/catchiest/best/hardest album yet… (in their words of course)
