Axl Rose's dressing room
Ever wondered what Axl Rose‘s dressing room looks like? No, me neither.
Does he have photgraphs of former Guns N’ Roses guitarist, Slash hanging on the walls? Does he have some Vagisil cream? Or some tampons? Maybe a hair braiding kit?
All of these questions can be answered after the jump.
Kyuss without Homme has a home
Influential American stoner rock band, Kyuss, have announced that they will be reuniting for a tour in Europe, under the name Kyuss Lives, without Josh Homme. Or as my mate calls him, “that annoying ginger pr*ck that can’t sing and should stick to guitars instead” – his words, not mine…
Bassist Nick Olivieri, drummer Brant Bjork and singer John Garcia will be joined by guitarist Bruno Fevery, who has played with Garcia before.
If you’re as excited as me, you can join me in not checking out the dates after the jump.
Godsmack guy apologizes
Do you guys remember a while back, that musically challenged frontman of Godsmack, Sully Erna, had a little outburst on stage, in which he badmouthed Creed and in particular Scott Stapp? If not, have a read here.
Sully Erna has recently apologized to both Creed and the Scott for his actions. It’s a long read, and I doubt anyone cares, but click here if you do.
In other news though, I wish to apologize to both Sully and Godsmack, and their fans if they do exist, for any snide remarks I have made about this band or their singer in the past. I appreciate that some people may have bad taste in music, and I respect everyone’s right to have bad taste, if they so wish to. Not everyone can have as awesome taste in music as myself, it’s a rare gift that God has blessed me with. No one at DoM, or or of any other legal body has requested that I apologize, and I do this instead because I am just that damn nice.
Ozzy names a hospital
“Fascinating” news today. Apparently the legendary Black Sabbath frontman, Ozzy Osbourne, well known for his fantastic health of course, has helped name a new £484 million hospital in his hometown, Birmingham (England). What has it been called? The Midlands Metropolitan Hospital.
Wow, what’s next? Munky from Korn naming a music shop?
Metal is geeky
Look, it’s Metal Sonic. Get it? No? Nevermind…
Metal is geeky. Thomas Gurrath (of Debauchery fame) said so, and now Luke Martin of the Prog-Metal project, Versed, has proven this point even further, by doing a Prog-Metal cover of the Flying Battery Zone music from Sonic and Knuckles.
So much for Metal being about death, blood, fire, war and sex 🙁
Check out Versed over at Facebook. You can listen to the cover after the jump. It also has a cool speedrun of the game whilst the music plays.
