Guns N’ Roses live at Rock in Rio footage
Look at the size of the crowd this tribute band have pulled. Phenomenal right?
Guns N’ Roses headlined the Rock in Rio festival last night and you can watch pro-shot footage of the band performing ‘Chinese Democracy’ above.
The band (or more specifically, Axl) sound like shit, but if you fancy checking out more footage, take a look at Blabbermouth.
Boredom + lack of news =
So with all the Lulu talk over the last few weeks (it’s going to suck, I don’t really care, I won’t listen to it), I figured ‘why not listen to some music from Metallica that doesn’t suck donkey penis?’
Thus, I am posting their cover of ‘Whiskey in the Jar’ (made well known by Thin Lizzy). Yes, it isn’t Metal, and yes, it’s a cover, but it’s a damn good one. Plus it has lesbians in the video, and any video with lesbians is good in my books.
Gojira will enter studio next month
When I first read this news, I was thinking “wow, well October is just around the corner”, and then I realized, we are in October (where does time fly to?). So that means, come November, Gojira will be entering the studio to record the new album, scheduled for release in early 2012.
In other news, the band were also working on the Sea Sheperd EP, but this has been delayed due to some of the material being lost on a hard drive which has crashed. For what ever reason, I guess the band didn’t think of backing up their work, huh?
For more information, check out Blabbermouth.

Break it on down, Heritage styley
Above these amazing words, you can watch the first part of the much needed track-by-track breakdown of Opeth‘s latest album, Heritage, courtesy of Mikael Åkerfeldt.
In case you hadn’t noticed by the way, this is the new trend: Bands reviewing their new albums, so we don’t have to. Really nice of them, isn’t it?
Unfortunately, this time I haven’t even watched the video, as I’ve been listening to the album for the past two or three weeks, thus rendering this video a wee bit pointless.
What the fuck am I watching?
No, seriously, what is this?
According to Blabbermouth, the video stars Jedrzej Wijas, a candidate for parliament in Poland who is with the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD), with several local death metal musicians (including members of Mortal God), as the group’s lead vocalist. The Death Metal video is a 46-second take on his views on secularity of the state and freedom of beliefs. Yeah, sorry, they’re going to have to translate that for ignorant meatheads metalheads like me.
Oh good, they have:
“End of the useless talking,
Enough of the stupid wars,
Secular government,
Dignified life,
Freedom,
Is my goal,
Vote wisely”
Hmm isn’t this political suicide, no?
