A Spineshank huh?
I remember a long ass time ago, I posted about that certain Nu-esque-Metal band, Spineshank. I was happy to have forgotten about them, but it seems the band have been brought to my attention again.
According to Blabbermouth, Spineshank‘s forthcoming comeback album, Anger Denial Acceptance, originally scheduled for a late 2011 release, has been pushed back to 2012 whilst they search for a new label.
You’re out of a label? Well guys, it’s your lucky day then, as it just so happens that the highly intelligent Katie Price is recruiting!
Judas Priest press conference footage
Ever wondered what a press conference with Judas Priest would be like? Fuck, it’s like the band just read your mind, because guess what the video above contains? That’s right, it’s the 31 minute long question-and-answer session (courtesy of Pandemonium TV) in Costa Rica celebrating the band’s first time in the country.
Raise you devil horns to the Metal Gods! Well, unless other people are around, otherwise you might look just a little bit weird.
Machine vinyl Head
Machine Head fans and people above the age of 45 (AKA vinyl fans) will be excited to hear that the November issue of the UK’s Metal Hammer magazine will come loaded with a special 10-inch vinyl EP.
The EP contains brand new track ‘Locust’ taken from the phenomenal new album Unto the Locust (read our review here), as well as live recordings of ‘Beautiful Mourning’ and ‘Bite The Bullet’.
The magazine is out October 19 and will celebrate Metal Hammer’s 25th anniversary. Make sure you pick it up if you own a record player and love Machine Head (side note – if you don’t love Machine Head, please consider yourself nolonger a friend of mine. Thanks).
Fuck a MP3.
Coal Chamber reforms, World asks why?
The once semi-popular 90’s Nu-Metal act, Coal Chamber (known for being Dez of Devildriver fame’s previous band), have reportedly reformed and will be performing Australia’s 2012 Soundwave festival. Presumably, Australia are 15 years behind and are just catching up to the Nu-Metal phase.
If I remember rightly, Coal Chamber had one redeeming factor in a certain red-headed bassist, but unfortunately, according to Blabbermouth, Nadja Peulen will not be part of the 2012 lineup 🙁
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to listen to some more Devildriver…
Jonas Björler talks The Haunted, At The Gates and shit
Greece’s Rock Overdose recently interviewed The Haunted (and At The Gates) bassist Jonas Björler. The chat can now be streamed over at Blabbermouth. Well, in theory it can, but the audio player wouldn’t work for me… Maybe it will for you, I don’t know. Who cares though, right? It’s not like the chat will be remotely interesting anyways…
