Hammerfall live in the studio
Swedish melodic Metallers, Hammerfall, have released a brand new video of themselves performing new song ‘Send Me The Sign’ live in the studio. The song is taken from the band’s new album, Infected, released just yesterday via Nuclear Blast Records. The video itself can be found on the bonus disc of the special edition version of the album. What’s that? You haven’t downloaded “bought” the album yet? Well luckily for you, we’re good at technology here at Dose of Metal and we’ve worked out how to embed the video (via Youtube) above, so go ahead and click that play button.
More information on this can be found over at Blabbermouth.
Trivium new song leaked
Cover your ears and hide your children, a new song from Trivium has leaked. The track ‘In Waves’ comes off Trivium‘s new studio album, which is due for release on August 9 via Roadrunner Records.
You can check it out below, if you have the courage.
Do you like Heights?
I have no fucking idea who Heights are, but they have a brand new video out, which you can view above. The video itself looks incredibly amateur and the kids look about 12, but surprisingly the song isn’t too bad. In fact it’s pretty damn good. So it at least sounds like they’ve gone through puberty, even if it doesn’t look it.
The song ‘Eye for an Eye’ is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Dead Ends, scheduled for release June 21.
iwrestledabearonce don’t want to burn churches
Remember when we said that iwrestledabearonce wouldn’t be going Black Metal on our asses? Turns out we were once again right, as the band are remaining as they were, whatever they actually were and still are. Confused? That’s how I feel whenever I listen to iwrestledabearonce‘s music. The point I’m making though, is the whole Black Metal announcement and promo pictures were all a joke, and wow aren’t you just so surprised?
The band have released a new song ‘Karate Nipples’ and I’m embarrassed to admit that I actually quite like it the song… Hopefully that doesn’t get me fired from Dose of Metal, but you can check it out for yourselves over at Metalsucks and then mock me for liking it if you so wish.
So how do I feel about the promo joke (I’m going to pretend you care what I think)? Well, it seems like quite a few people are angry to find out it was a joke, and I find that in itself fucking hilarious. If you believed this in the first place, then congratulations, you’re a gullible moron. Further more, if you’re angry that this was a prank, then lighten the fuck up and find your sense of humor. Or just get laid or something at least.
The band’s new album Ruining It For Everybody is scheduled for a July 26 release via Century Media.
Ultimate Dio collection heading your way
It wasn’t that long ago that I reviewed The Collection by Dio, which I gave a brilliant 4 and a half skulls out of 5. Don’t ask me how you can get half a skull though, I’ve never seen anyone cut a skull in half before, but I somehow managed to do it for this review. One of the reasons I gave it half a skull shy of a full 5, however, was that I would have liked to have a full collection of all of Ronnie James Dio‘s music, and not just a collection limited to his solo material.
Lucky me then, and lucky you, because as Metal Hammer have reported, a double-disc compilation that spans the entire career of the late Ronnie James Dio has been announced for release in June. I’m literally jumping for joy, although that may also have something to do with the pube lice I’ve caught. Check out the awesome tracklisting after the jump.
