Bloodbath Over Bloodstock
Bloodbath (the band, not an actual bath of blood, ’cause that would be horrible wouldn’t it?) have already released one amazing live album, but it’s time to start saving your money again, because the band are all set to release another one.
Bloodbath Over Bloodstock is set for release for 25th April 2011. Mark it in your fucking diaries! Now I’m going to copy and paste the press statement, because I’m hungover, and lazy is my middle name (well besides Boris, but Boris isn’t very Metal).
‘Bloodbath Over Bloodstock’ presents Bloodbath live & in-the-flesh & was filmed in August 2010 at the famed Bloodstock festival – one of the UK’s leading metal events. This DVD offers a pummelling set of ferocious brutality featuring numerous classics & fan favourites from the band’s whole catalogue of releases in an unrelenting death metal attack, including songs from 2008’s highly-acclaimed tornado of blasphemy, ‘The Fathomless Mastery’.
‘Bloodbath Over Bloodstock’ comes with a wealth of extras, featuring bonus footage taken from PartySan festival in 2008, as well as extensive band member interviews. The artwork was designed by Travis Smith.

Chickenfoot go fourth
Chickenfoot, the super-group that actually aren’t all that super, in fact I’d even go as far as calling them painfully mediocre, have revealed the working title of their forthcoming album.
The band (which consists of Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony of Van Halen, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Joe Satriani) have announced the second album will be apparently known as Chickenfoot IV, in an odd attempt to be quirky and unpredictable. It’s just a shame, I guess, that their music happens to be the most predictable thing since I woke up this morning and had a wank.
More information can be found over at Blabbermouth.
DEF-CON-ONE post Warface video
DEF-CON-ONE recently posted the brand new video for their brilliant track Warface, which can be viewed above. Well, they posted it on the 12th, so I’m a little late with this, but that’s just because I’m awesome like that (I also always come late ladies, in case you’re wondering). This is also an excuse to get some good music at the top of the Dose of Metal page to knock that awful Stillwell shit I posted yesterday the fuck down.
If you’re from the UK (or aren’t, but fancy it), you can catch the guys at this year’s Bloodstock Festival.
All your DEF-CON-ONE related information can be found over at their Facebook page.
Breaking news: Fieldy stillsucks
Okay, so Fieldy (of Korn) has been in the music business for, what, like over 15 years now? We all know his music sucks, we have done since the first time we heard him slap his bass around as if it were a piece of ass, so why do I still insist on reporting on the man, and why do you keep reading it? Maybe we’re all just after some cheap laughs, who knows? Regardless, Fieldy for one reason or another (want proof there is no God, here’s your proof) is still making music, and it still sucks.
Obviously leaving his Hip Hop project for a while (and thank God), Fieldy has formed a new band with a bunch of other misfit quasi-“musicians.” Joining him are Q (Who?) on vocals, Wuv (P.O.D. AKA Who?) on drums and Spider (I repeat, who?) on bass. The band are called Stillwell (or as I shall call them from here on, Stillsucks) and the debut album is titled Dirtbag. Their first song, known as Anal Poppin’ (or something…) can be heard above. Do yourself a favor, and don’t bother clicking play. It seriously is the worst thing I’ve heard since Linkin Park‘s last album
Actually interested in this band? Then you need to cut back on the class A’s, but in case you are, more info can be found here.
Iron Maiden heading for Bulgaria
There has been quite a bit of festival news today, but apart from this piece of news I’m reporting on, nothing that I give a shit about. Something about Skunk Anansie playing the UK’s Download festival (really Download? Really? Your line-up sucks more dick than a prostitute on speed ) and then some other crap I actually can’t remember.
So on with the important shit…
The Bulgarian Sonisphere will be home to the mighty Iron Maiden this year, otherwise known as the greatest Metal band ever. Bulgaria were lucky enough to get The Big Four last year, and although they won’t be getting them again this year (as to be expected), Iron Maiden are great replacement for a headlining slot.
So what happens next? Probably the usual bitching about the possible setlist. But yeah, if you’re Bulgarian, go buy a ticket already.
