Let’s get high… Then watch the new Born of Osiris video!
Do it, watch the new Born of Osiris clip, Follow the Signs. I swear I haven’t had anything, and I just saw it and I’m tripping balls.
The band plays progressive/technical death metal/metalcore/crabcore/corecore. Just one tip guys, next time hold your legs together, those crab moves don’t make you hardcore, they make you look like Eastern European prostitutes.
Mark Reale passed away at 56
Riot’s Founding guitarist Mark Reale has passed away at the age of 56, suffering complications of Crohn’s disease. According to Blabbermouth, he was in a coma for the past two weeks, due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Horrible way to go for anyone. Dose of Metal sends their condolences to his family, friends and the band. R.I.P.
New Soulfly! Fly high!
New Soulfly song is out! War! Hate! Soul! Fly!
It’s called World Scum (World! Scum! War! Hate!), you can download it by visiting this link and following the instructions on that page. It’s coming on their new album Enslaved, which we’ve written about (twice!).
Now, about the song… If you’re hoping for the Prophecy/Dark Ages, or, god forbid, the earlier nu-metalish tribal war Soulfly, you’re in the wrong place. If, however, you liked the last two albums, you’re in for a treat — not only is this straightforward metal with a good touch of death (which is not a huge surprise when Cattle Decapitation singer is a guest vocalist on the track), it also sounds like the last two albums on crack and/or speed.
Good shit, and this is a lot coming from someone who uses every opportunity to poke fun at Max’s mad lyrics writing skills. Lyr! Ics! Wri! Ting!
Jane’s Addiction “Underground” video is out
Jane’s Addiction have released a new video, and you can watch it above. I can’t help but point out that Perry Farrel looks like a pimp on crack (totally unrelated to the lyrics, I swear), but besides that, the song’s good, and the video is nicely made. Nothing to write home about, but if you’re not a fan, you probably stopped reading at Jane’s Addiction.
Fear Factory revealed the new album title! OMG!
Fear Factory have revealed the new album title. It’s called…
Wait for it…
The Industrialist
OMG!11!11!1 Let me guess, is it going to be… industrial?
I don’t actually care what the name is, if it’s anyway near the quality of Mechanize, I’ll be perfectly happy. Take into account that Burton C. Bell has continuously stated he feels the band could do better than Mechanize, and that the new lineup has probably become a bit more stable by now (even though stable is not really a word I’d throw around when it comes to Fear Factory), we’re in for a real treat. Yum! *that’s what the band said*
