Overkill are back and electric
Thrashers Overkill have a new album coming out. Should you care? I don’t know, I’m not your mother. And even if I was, I’d probably be like my own mother and still not care.
:'(
Regarding the album, it’s called The Electric Age and it’s due out on March 27 (North America) and March 30 (Europe). The name suggest they’ve updated their sound, who knows, maybe even introduced some dubstep to get the tween audience to attend their shows, but the singer’s hairdo tells us something completely opposite.
You can see the album cover after you make the jump.
Listen to Lamb of God’s Resolution
Lamb of God‘s Resolution is out today, and you can listen to a stream of it now on AOL.com. Actually, you could also do it yesterday, but I kinda forgot to post about it. Oops, I did it again.
Speaking of doing things again, the clip above is their video for Ghost Walking.
Crosses released EP II
††† (or, for the normal people, Crosses), the Chino Moreno / Shaun Lopez collaboration, released their second EP today, non-surprisingly named EP ††.
I have a few questions regarding this: will the third EP be called EP †††? If so, will it be pronounced ‘EP Three’ or ‘EP Crosses’. What if they make a fourth? “EP More Crosses?”
Also, why the fuck are their reversed crosses upside down?
If you don’t have any weird questions and just want to listen to it — tt’s available for purchase on their official website, crossesmusic.com, and the price for the regular download is $3.99, while the deluxe version will cost you $6.99 and get you lots of extras. The first EP is still available for a free download on the website, in case you missed it the first time around, so you can check out the music first if you feel like it.
Iron Maiden’s En Vivo! trailer released
Iron Maiden have released a trailer for their upcoming live album/video release, called En Vivo! En Vivo means ugly hairdo in Spanish, so it’s clear why they’ve called it that.
While it looks good, I couldn’t help but feel cheated. I mean, they taped the thing in Chile. I somehow get the feeling that any band can go to South America and make a killer live DVD. Does using that stereotype make me a douchebag? Sure, but it doesn’t make me wrong. The album comes out March 26/27 (worldwide/North America).
Josh Newton reunites Shiner, will re-release some plastic
In a case of early Monday “who did whaaaat, leave me the fuck alone I want to sleep” we got the news that Josh Newton (former Every Time I Die, current The Damned Things, With Knives bass player) reunited his old project, Shiner.
The band will re-release The Egg on vinyl, which is the occasion for the reunion (a few live shows have been announced). Do you care about any of this? Congrats. You’ve outnerded me when it comes to knowledge of bands.
