3 Inches of Blood guitarist wants to be your pet dinosaur

Justin Hagberg, the guitarist for 3 Inches of Blood, and his kinda kinky looking graphic designer girlfriend Rheanna Olson, want to be your pets! Isn’t that cute? The couple have offered to pretend to be dinosaurs for a full year, taking 24 hour shifts, doing absolutely anything (except sex stuff… aaaw), in exchange for a house ownership in Vancouver. Those silly Canadians.

The couple apparently thought of the idea after seeing an ad for a house in Vancouver selling for one million dollars, so as the response to the high prices they came up with the their own ad and put it up on Craigslist. Mustaine says collab with Metallica should be for charity

…and the only thing I keep wondering is, who would be on the receiving end? Dave himself? No, I’m kidding, that’s just mean. In case you’ve somehow missed it, Dave talked about wishing to form a supergroup with Lars and James. He’s recently spoken with The Phoenix, and he shares more thoughts about the possible collaboration:

“I think James and I and Lars and David should do a record together and see what happens. Not as a band or anything like that, but something to donate the money to charity.”

Aaaaw, how sweet would that be? On a serious note, a thought of a Metallica 2.0, or Metallica: The Reboot does sound way more interesting than “Lulu.” Actually, I just farted and the noise was more metal than the name of that project.

New Animals As Leaders album gets a name

Now that we’re done with the Corey Taylor drama, let’s talk about people with actual talent. Animals As Leaders have revealed the name for their new album, and the name is Weightless. The album will be out some time before the end of the year or some time in the fall. The sooner the better.

Slipknot’s US tour is on. So is a new Stone Sour album.

Corey Taylor fans are gonna love this: He’s confirmed via Twitter that the Slipknot US tour is currently being booked. The reason Slipknot fans ultimately won’t be happy, is that it’s also been reported that he’s making an album — only with his other band, Stone Sour.

Let’s take a quick look at Corey’s priorities over the past year: a Stone Sour album, a solo single, a book, auditions for the spot of Velvet Revolver singer, a Slipknot tour, a side-project with Duff McKagan, solo tours, audiobook, Stone Sour covers EP, Stone Sour live DVD, his hit rendition of the SpongeBob theme song, another Stone Sour studio album. Look for Slipknot in the previous sentence, I’m sure it’s there somewhere. Ten bucks he gets kicked out of the band the moment the tour is done.
