Get well soon, Jon Lord.
Legendary Deep Purple co-founder Jon Lord is unfortunately battling cancer. A message on his official site says the following:
“I would like all my friends, followers, fans and fellow travelers to know that I am fighting cancer and will therefore be taking a break from performing while getting the treatment and cure.
I shall of course be continuing to write music – in my world it just has to be part of the therapy – and I fully expect to be back in good shape next year.

Get well soon, Jon! I’m not religious, spiritual or superstitious so I don’t know what else to say, but on behalf of everyone at DoM, have a speedy recovery.
God bless theater releases
The documentary (and unintentional mockumentary) “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne” will hit some theaters, but I have to be honest, I didn’t really read the whole press release. Bottom line is, a list of theaters is here. If you can get to any of them and want to, do it. If not, don’t. What do I care? I’m not your fucking mom.
I would like to see the documentary, to be honest with you, but I’m waiting for the DVD rip.
If it’s anything like the MTV show, it will bore me to tears. Could anyone actually watch that? I mean, I’m guessing a lot of people did watch it, since it was a hit, but I just never could sit through it. Even though it had all the right ingredients: Ozzy, who is funny. Fat kids fighting. Insight into what it’s like to be filthy rich. All that crap.
Apropos of nothing, I took three shits today, but no idea why. They were all small quantities, maybe I should start eating more vegetables. Eesh.
The Dillinger Escape Plan get intimate
According to a recent news report, The Dillinger Escape Plan got really intimate at the Hevy Festival in Kent (with each other, and/or their fans, and/or the festival management), and a home made tape leaked on to the internet.
You can watch the video after you make the jump. FYI, Puciato’s Italian for “a fun hole,” and Kent is ‘urban’ for an anointed sexual deity.
Staind fly on paper wings
They also make music with as little weight and substance as paper.
Staind have released another new song (OMG AMAZING!!!!11). It’s called ‘Paper Wings’ and it’s actually surprisingly good… Just kidding, it sucks of course.
You can listen to it below, in case the huge fuck off sized embedded Soundcloud block doesn’t give it away. Well, at least you’d think that would be the case, but apparently “the track is currently unavailable”. It’s nature’s way of telling you not to listen, trust me.
