Ever wanted to sample The Black Dahlia Murder? The band’s new album Ritual, I mean, which is scheduled for a June 17 release in Europe and June 21 release in North America. Well now you can sample every track from the new album over at Amazon.
I know TBDM are Deathcore, and not Death Metal, so as a “Metal elitist” I should probably hate them by default, but I don’t; I love them.

Head will rejoin Korn
…if he wants to start making some money again. I’m sorry, did I mislead you there?
Brian ‘Head’ Welch, formerly of Korn, has apparently filed for bankruptcy, according to Kornspace.com. The problems don’t stop there either, he’s also in the middle of a legal dispute with his own record label, with him in addition being under a legal contract to provide at least two more solo albums.
So may that be a lesson to you, kids: Don’t ever leave popular projects, or “find” Christ. He’ll It’ll only screw you over. Or maybe this is just karma for inflicting Nu Metal onto the world, who knows?
Judas Priest reveal the new lineup
Want to know what the new lineup of Judas Priest will look like? Well use your imagination: It’ll look like the old lineup, only instead of K.K. Downing, you’ll have some young buck you’ve never heard of in his place. Luckily for all you kids that have lost the use of your imagination (and you have porn to thank for that) though, the band have released their first promo photo of the new line-up, and you can check it out after the jump. Or alternatively, just check out my far superior photo above, thanks to my amazing Photoshop skillz.
Saturday morning headlines!
Soundgarden have released tour dates for their upcoming North American tour. I grew up with Soundgarden so seeing them live is a no-brainer. However, my big complaint is Coheed and Cambria opening at the show i’m attending, while The Mars Volta, Mastodon and Queens Of The Stone Age will be at other shows of the tour. Lame. More information can be found here.
The trailer for The Big Four show at Yankee Stadium (pictured above) has been posted online and you can view it here. It was pretty cool, but the “Four of the heaviest bands of all time” slogan made me roll on the floor laughing my ass off (what can I say, I’m more of an metal elitist than everyone at Metal Archives).
Melodic death metal act Arch Enemy have uploaded a new song titled ‘Blood Stained Cross’, which is from their upcoming new album Khaos Legions. You can listen to the song here. Oops. Sorry, I meant here.
Mötley Crüe bassiest Nikki Sixx recently told about.com “I think our best record is still in us.” — I like Nikki, I really do. I think he’s a pretty cool guy. But after reading that, I have a feeling he is back on the heroin for that interview and thinking it’s 1983.
In Flames Deliver Us a new song
In Flames, the band that were once great, and now aren’t so much, are ready to deliver us a new song (called Deliver Us I believe). during this weekend’s (May 6-8) edition of Full Metal Jackie‘s nationally syndicated radio show. In addition to this, the band’s guitarist, Björn Gelotte will also be interviewed on the program.
To see a full list of stations carrying the show and when it airs, go to FullMetalJackieRadio.com. Blabbermouth have all the relevant information, in case you still care about In Flames, and if you do still care, can I ask “why!?”
