Motley movie
Remember Neil Strauss’ biography on Mötley Crüe called The Dirt – Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band? Well you’ve read the book (oh you haven’t? No me neither), and soon you can see the film (oh you don’t want to see the movie either? No me too).
Strauss was asked in a brand new interview with MTV.com what the latest is on the film adaptation of The Dirt. He revealed that unfortunately it is still in the works and that they are looking at a few different directors at the moment. Strauss went on further to say that screenwriter, Rich Wilkes, has said who he’d love to see in the film. Wilkes wants Brad Pitt as David Lee Roth, Jared Leto as Vince Neil, Jack Black or Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Ozzy Osbourne, Robert Patrick or Justin Timberlake as their first manager (a guy called Alan Kaufman), Sam Rockwell as Mick Mars, Ashton Kutcher or Russell Brand as Tommy Lee. Wow, sounds totally amazing guys!
For those that can’t wait for the film to come out, here’s a quick prediction for you on what the plot will be like: Some wannabe rock stars will take some obscure substances, then think they’re capable of writing music. Despite failing to write anything noteworthy they will reach a certain level of success, they’ll take more substances, drink some booze, probably drive under the influence, bang a few groupies, then finish the film by taking more heroin “interesting substances.” Alternatively, you could just watch the Tommy Lee/Pamela Anderson sex tape and jack off.
Avatar? The Social Network? Neither of those films will shit on this… More info here.

Tommy Lee is taking a new role
Reality TV/reality sex-tape star Tommy Lee has a new exciting role… In a reality TV show. News reports are saying Tommy Lee is fulfilling his life-long dream of portraying Nancy Drew on camera, in a new series that “attempts to uncover various rituals, symbols, and other mysteries of secret societies.”
“This is the first show that I’ve been a part of that will blow our minds and reveal things that will explain almost all our questions.” -Lee
As opposed to what? The previous shows that only answered some of our questions? Okay, so Lee must have answered questions like “Is there a god?,” and “What’s the purpose of life?,” so we’re left with the more important shit like:
- How come you are still around?
- How come you got famous in the first place?
- Did you ever faint after getting a boner? I imagine your cock sucks up half of your blood.
One Cavalera doesn’t want a Sepultura reunion
I don’t think there’s a band that I’ve written more about than Sepultura and usually it wasn’t even about their music but about Max Cavalera talking and talking (and talking) about a reunion of the classic Sepultura line-up, Andreas Kisser not wanting to reunite with the Cavalera’s, just to change his mind a couple of weeks later. It got so tiring that I simply stopped reading Sepultura news.
There’s another Cavalera who didn’t speak out about the situation though, and that’s Max’s brother Igor. That’s until recently when he was interviewed by Loud Magazine;
“Me and Max playing together, that’s the reunion. Out of all the other people who passed through Sepultura, that’s what I consider to be the reunion. I don’t see why there needs to be other people in on it. I’m more than happy to have what I have right now. I don’t need any other kind of reunion.”

Thank you! Finally someone with a right mindset. I hope that’s finally it and everyone else (I’m looking at you, Max!) stops talking about it.
You win some, you lose some
Napalm Death have a new song! Yay! But they split with their label… Nay? I have no idea what’s going on, but apparently they’re no longer with Century Media. New album is still scheduled to be recorded in May, and the new song “Legacy Was Yesterday” will be available through Decibel magazine’s flexi disc series, for those of you stuck in dark ages using CD players and reading magazines. Everyone else, just make the jump and listen to it straight away.
But wait, there’s more!
Otep also have a new song. That’s the losing part from the post title. I checked the song preview and turned it off when I realized the were no pictures of Otep Shamaya in it, just some album artwork and crappy music.
And last, and probably least to majority of people, djent heroes Animals As Leaders found a new home. No, it’s not a dog shelter, they signed with Sumerian Records.
