David Draiman might be Jesus
I’m not the most politically correct guy around, but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t brag about ‘fixing’ skinheads to the press, much less by including the n-word in the quote.
David Draiman did though, I guess that’s where we differ. He had an interview with ‘The Jerusalem Post‘ and guess what he talked about? Being Jewish and having to fight to defend his heritage.
“When we were playing Southside Chicago clubs, one of the guys who would come to see us was a skinhead, he had a swastika tattoo, the whole nine yards. After he became a die-hard fan, the band was sitting down having drinks after a show and he comes in and starts going on about **censored** and Jews, and I interrupted him and said, “Dude, I don’t know if you realize this but I’m Jewish.” He responded, “You’re Jewish! This completely changes my whole idea of what a Jew is supposed to be.” And soon after that, he had his swastika removed, and denounced the skinhead culture.“

Am I the only one who sees the subtle similarities to Jesus? Talking to ‘The Jerusalem Post‘ about sitting at a table and a disturbed (hehe) skinhead comes to Draiman and he offers one line and immediately heals the guy. I’m not one for religion, but HOLY SHIT…
Is Draiman HIM? Oh blessed be thy heart almighty Draiman. If only you could have met a certain Austrian bloke a few decades ago…

Scott Ian celebrated his 47th birthday
On the last day of 2010, Scott Ian celebrated his 47th birthday. The guy still looks like 20 to me if it wasn’t for his grey beard. Metal will keep you young. And endless searches for a singer for your band will make your beard go grey.
Anyhow, Ian posted a couple of pictures of his birthday party via Twitter. Pictured are Brendon Small of Dethklok/Metalocalypse (pictured above), Joey Vera of Armored Saint, formerly of Anthrax, Robert Trujillo of Metallica, Brian Posehn and 2 dudes I’ve never seen before, one with a giant turd as a haircut. Lamb of God are “unique”
Well, at least that’s what the drummer, Chris Adler claims in as recent interview. Perhaps he hasn’t heard the other 20 million Metal bands that have been crossing a mixture of Pantera riffs, cookie-monster inspired vocals and Hardcore influences though.
Ironically, Adler then goes on to say that there are too many copy-cat bands out there. Wow…
Could be worse though, they could be Linkin Park. Now that would suck.
Slipknot DJ goes solo
You’ve already had Corey with Stone Sour and his own solo shit, Joey with the Murderdolls, and the one that dresses up as a Clown with his lame Indie band, but the one you’ve all been waiting to go solo has finally done it. That’s right, the DJ has a solo album coming out this month, and this marks his first attempt at doing lead vocals.
