Cure for insomnia found

Fantastic news! I’ve been recently suffering from insomnia, but luckily, I managed to find a cure earlier today. I simply watched a video interview with We Are The Fallen, and within seconds, I had fallen fast asleep.

Are you wondering who We Are The Fallen are, and why they have such a stupid name? They’re basically just Evanescence, but with some American Idol chick instead of the Axl Rose of mediocre uninspired gothic rock, Amy Lee. The name, despite what they may claim, comes from the fact that these are the members that recorded Evanescence‘s breakthrough album, Fallen. We Are The Fallen, get it? Clever right…

Anyways, if you’re having trouble sleep, why not try watching the interview after the jump. I would summarize what was said in the interview, but like I said, I fell asleep.

Lemmy is still rock and roll.

Lemmy Kilmister, lead vocalist from legendary band Motorhead, recently conducted an interview with Radio Metal.

It’s a pretty cool interview.  Lemmy talks about his bands upcoming new album, The World Is Yours (which will be released on December 13th, 2010), pokes fun at Brian Welch for being the Jesus of rock and roll, says rock and roll is so much better than being a geek on the computer and much more.

Click here to check out the interview and make the jump to view my favourite Motorhead song.

Iommi is hard at work

Tony Iommi is working on new material with longtime friend and band member Geezer Butler

Been a quiet week on the writing front as we are making some changes to the control room at my home studio. The idea is to tidy the whole thing up and get a bit more space as I like to play in there when I’m recording. Should be back at the writing next week.” said Tony to Metal Hammer magazine.

Full article here.

However, it’s apparently for ‘the new phase of his career’ so I don’t know what that means. Is he becoming an actor?

Metallica > Britney Spears

Metallica broke the record for most tickets sold on the Sydney Acer Arena. They sold 74, 244 tickets in 4 nights. The previous record was set by Britney “I love Rock N’ Roll” Spears, selling just 66,247 in four nights.

This shows that cutting your hair and doing mainstream music is good for your career, so fuck all them haters, yo.

Metallica also broke another record in Australia: Most amazing way to knock a kid out. This Australian leg of the tour seemed quite productive.
