Godsmack guy apologizes

Do you guys remember a while back, that musically challenged frontman of Godsmack, Sully Erna, had a little outburst on stage, in which he badmouthed Creed and in particular Scott Stapp? If not, have a read here.

Sully Erna has recently apologized to both Creed and the Scott for his actions. It’s a long read, and I doubt anyone cares, but click here if you do.

In other news though, I wish to apologize to both Sully and Godsmack, and their fans if they do exist, for any snide remarks I have made about this band or their singer in the past. I appreciate  that some people may have bad taste in music, and I respect everyone’s right to have bad taste, if they so wish to. Not everyone can have as awesome taste in music as myself, it’s a rare gift that God has blessed me with. No one at DoM, or or of any other legal body has requested that I apologize, and I do this instead because I am just that damn nice.

Disturbed will lose you the elections

Kentucky, the state that gave us KFC, Larry Flynt and George Clooney, also has quite the shady political race.

“Images of members of the bands Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed and Stone Sour are inexplicably featured on a flyer that was released this week by a candidate for Campbell County Attorney in Kentucky.

[One side] features images of members of the above-mentioned bands taken from their publicity stills with the warning, ‘On November 2 tell Steve Franzen you don’t trust someone who makes a living defending criminals to serve as your County Attorney.’“

Alice Cooper lost blood

Think ideas are the only thing Alice Cooper lost? Wrong, he lost some blood, too:

The London Express say: “Alice Cooper is aghast after his fake blood was misplaced on route to the UK. As the star flew in from the United States yesterday for his Halloween Night Of Fear shows on Sunday and Monday at the Roundhouse, North London, he discovered that British Airways had lost his bags. He then had to describe the contents of his snakeskin suitcases to bemused airline staff: as well as missing his fake blood and a giant syringe (in parts) that he uses when he “dies” four times on stage, he was also missing his skulls and skeleton limbs.”

…and he’s missing a new gimmick, really.

Phil Anselmo to appear at Dimebash?

As we reported earlier this week and last week, Dimebash 2010 is going to be held tomorrow in West Hollywood, Carlifornia and it’s going to be filmed for a future DVD release aswell.

Slayer’s Kerry King, who will appear at Dimebash revealed that Phil Anselmo, former Pantera singer and Dimebag bandmate, is going to appear aswell. King said:

“Rita’s [Haney, Dimebag’s longtime girlfriend] busting my balls to do it, and I told her I would if she got me a real singer,” Kerry said. “‘Cause you never know who’s gonna show up. So she goes, ‘Phil Anselmo [Pantera, Down], Chuck Billy [Testament], Robb Flynn [Machine Head]… Are those good enough?’ And I’m, like, ‘Fuck, I’ll do it with any one of those guys.’ But I’m gonna see her tonight. I haven’t committed, but I guess she committed me. [Laughs] Oh, Dave’s [Lombardo, Slayer drummer] doing it, for sure. But I’m pretty sure I’ll do it.”

Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, guitar players for Testament, recently answered fan-submitted questions for Fret 12.  They talk about everything including their guitar collection, the current metal scene and even brought up Dose Of Metal as the best upcoming metal news site on the web(okay, that was a huge lie).
