The Album is Yours
For a price. And not until December. So make sure you ask Santa nicely for it. What am I talking about? Well read on…
December the 13th, mark it in your diaries, because that’s the date Motörhead have set for their long-awaited new studio album, The World is Yours.
Well, they say “long-awaited”, but Motörhead’s last album, Motörizer, came out in 2008, the album before that came out in 2006, and the one before that in 2004, so quite how that qualifies as “long-awaited” is beyond me. Combine that with the fact the last album only sold 6,000 in the US in its first week, I really don’t think it’s that anticipated.
Sorry, just sayin’… Check out samples from the album after the jump.
A Living Christmas
Do you like Metal? Do you like Christmas? Are you from the USA? If so, why not check out Solidstate’s A Very Metal Christmas Tour, with a headlining slot from Living Sacrifice. The tour will have support from The Showdown, Becoming the Archetype, To Speak Of Wolves and As They Sleep.
So, if you’re not one of those grumpy bastards (like me) that hates seeing any mention of Christmas prior to December, and therefore are still reading this, get your ass to one of the shows.

Murdertours U.K.
Speaking of masked drummers, Joey Jordison’s other band, Murderdolls, are going on tour. Usually I’d say “who cares?” but after posting about Lordi, suddenly these guys feel like Led Zeppelin. Besides, it’s only in the U.K. for now so I’m safe.
The tour will start in February of next year and tickets will go on sale October 29, at 9 a.m. Dates, after the jump.
Otus hallelujah
Lordi fired their previous drummer because she didn’t celebrate Halloween 365 days a year like the rest of the band. She took her costume off, so she got axed.
But now they have a new drummer. His/its name is Otus. Not that it was hard to find a replacement, all you need is someone willing to dress up like he’s on ‘Tales From The Crypt’ and that’s it. It’s not like you need to be a proper musician to play their songs, is it?
“We are not really sure who or what he is, he is just … a creature, a thing (otus in Finnish). He is a mixture of a butcher, an executioner, an alien, a lizzard and a zombie. Tough dude. And definitely one of the ugliest members in our family…“ said the band’s frontfreak
Jesus Christ, and you thought Slipknot were obnoxious, eh?
Jimmy Page by Jimmy Page
Jimmy Page recently discussed his new limited edition autobiographical book, Jimmy Page by Jimmy Page, in the latest issue of the bi-annual arts magazine, Lid.
The book has been awarded numerous awards, such as ‘most original title’, ‘best book about Jimmy Page and written by Jimmy Page’ and ‘limited edition book released in the most numbers.’
It’s 2010 and washed up musicians are still releasing books. Will Mark still not be reading them? Unfortunately so, as I still can’t read or write.
If you can read, however, you might want to check out the full story over at Blabbermouth.
