Primal Fear want more money

Primal Fear are re-releasing their first four albums – Self titled, Jaws Of Death, Nuclear Fire and Devil’s Ground.  The four albums have been remastered and all have leftover songs that were not good enough from 1998-2004 bonus tracks.  The albums will be released in November for the European fans and a North American date is set for early 2011.

Good idea for newbies of power metal, but will the die hard Primal Fear fans want this?

Ozzy confirmed for some Euro fests

Despite actually being half dead, former Black Sabbath Metal legend, current MTV celeb icon, Ozzy Osbourne, has been confirmed for some big European festivals next year.

Ozzy will be playing the Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place August 4-6, 2011, in Germany, and the Sweden Rock Festival, set to take place June 8-11, 2011.

I can’t imagine Ozzy walking to his local corner shop, let alone making it all the way to Germany or Sweden, but I guess these have been announced early, so that he can start making his journey there now.

How can it be an Orgy if there's only one guy?

Jay Gordon (Orgy)

Seriously? It seems that the planned and failed Orgy reunion just failed some more: Jay Gordon left the band, but get this, he’s keeping the name Orgy.

Make the jump to see what the (now former) bandmates had to say about this.

New old hate machine

Trent Reznor

Have you ever wondered why Trent Reznor re-released, remixed and re-re-released every album he ever made, but never Pretty Hate Machine? It’s because the original recordings have been considered lost for a long time. Fortunately for him (and unfortunately for fans’ wallets), they found its way home, and a re-release is scheduled for November 22nd. Read more for his announcement and see a “reinterpretation” of the original album cover.

Suicide Silence to get loud

Suicide Silence

Are you a fan of Suicide Silence? Me neither. But in case you live in California, you might want to check out their upcoming live shows in San Diego and Pomona. Why? They’ll be filming the shows for a future live DVD release. So, you know, since you’ll be one of the ten people attending, it won’t be hard to recognize your face in the crowd once the DVD is out.

Dates:

10/28 San Diego, CA – Soma
10/29 Pomona, CA – Glass House
