Licking All The Girls.

If anyone is from Asbury, New Jersey, then I suggest you go check out a band by the name of Sekond Skyn this Friday and Saturday at a venue named “The Saint”.  Who is Sekond Skyn?  Yeah, we don’t know either. However,  Corey Glover,  who happens to be from Living Colour,  will be singing for them at both shows.

Metallideth Charity

Half of The Big Four are doing some charity work. Not together, but at the same time, which is quite a coincidence.

Metallica are auctioning a one hour drum lessons and dinner with none other than Lars Ulrich. This will mean flying to their headquarters, getting a tour of the Metallica HQ,  etc… All proceeds go to the “Andre Agassi Foundation for Education, a not-for-profit public charity dedicated to transforming education to create opportunities for children.“ — More info here.

Megadeth are auctioning a Hartke bass amp, signed by the whole band, directly via eBay. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.— More info after the jump.

Now, we usually crack a joke or two about each news item we post. I could say that that taking drum lessons from Lars is like taking driving lessons from Stevie Wonder. Or ask if Megadeth is auctioning off a bass amp cause you can barely hear it anyway in most of their songs. But I’m not gonna do that.

Seriously though, charity is always a worthy cause so make sure you start bidding.

Cradle Of Leak

Pop-Gothic Metal band Cradle of Filth got with the times. They have a site for their new album, they’re leaking songs, streaming samples and even launching iPhone apps. My God… The only thing missing from their arsenal is a wi-fi dildo with Twitter capabilities.

Corey Tayor loves his new video

When he’s not out trick or treating on stage with his stupid mask, Corey Taylor sings in an equally annoying band… But if there’s one good thing you can say about him, is that he is objective, modest and doesn’t like to hype the shit out of his own stuff… For instance, here’s what he said about his upcoming Stone Sour video, on Twitter:

“Shot the video for Hesitate yesterday- should come out pretty amazing. Super stoked. This will be THE video of our career. Stay tuned…“

See what I mean? Others like to overestimate their work and blow stuff out of proportion. Not Corey.
