Brad Delson a multi-instrumentalist genius

The guitars may have been toned down on recent multi-conceptual masterpiece, A Thousand Suns (read our review by Alex, here), but famed Linkin Park guitarist, Brad ‘The Ripper” Delson isn’t just going to sit down during the band’s live performances.  Oh no, because Brad Delson may be a master of the guitar, but it’s not the only thing he’s a master of, as the video below shows.

Not being content as one of the greatest modern guitar players, Brad has taken on the role of also playing Keyboards in the band.  He’s now rivaling Mike Shinoda for his multi-instrumental skillz.

Some cynics might speculate that the keyboard parts are so weak and simplistic that even the guitarist can play the parts.  Or even go as far as to laugh at the fact that the band have two people playing keyboards, one person playing turntables, a bassist appearing to do nothing, and two vocalists performing some lacksture singing in a weird jamaican accent.  Not us though…  Watch the video after the jump.

Geek scores geek movie

The Social Network, the movie about the geek who made Facebook, is scored by Trent Reznor, the geek responsible for Nine Inch Nails and other bands that have both insulted and destroyed music.

Because he knows he won’t sell any copies, Trent released a five-song EP for free. If you had awful taste in music, you could get that here.

Musically, this all came out of our secret laboratory — electronic in basis, but mostly organic sounding. Lots of experiments and emphasis on sound fraying around the edges while focusing on the proper emotional tone for the various scenessaid Trent Reznor while updating his Facebook profile page.

When asked why most of his music sounds like the soundtrack to Sonic The Hedgehog, Trent had no comment.

Lemmy: The Movie

The Brad Pitt of rock music, Lemmy Kilmister, is the star of a not-awaited documentary examining his career and personal life, called “Lemmy.

The filmmakers behind it, who obviously have nothing better to do, just gave an interview.

For anyone who has a low opinion of MOTÖRHEAD, I think our movie will change that said Wes Orshoski, one of the directors.
For anyone who thinks Lemmy Kilmister is ugly, I think this movie will prove them right… And then some said Alex, the writer of this article.

When asked how Lemmy’s moles will look on the big screen, the directors of this movie had no comment.
