'A Thousand Suns' – concept record?
Linkin Park‘s lead Cubase user, Mike Shinoda, blew the one chance he had of motivating the musical aberration that is his latest album, A Thousand Suns.
When asked if the album is a ‘concept record,’ Mike said “omg no,” calling it a ‘multi-concept record.’

Anyone know who Anthrax's singer is?
So the other day, I mocked Anthrax for their ever changing lineup of vocalists, and I have to admit I felt pretty bad afterwards. After all, Anthrax is a legendary Thrash band, one of The Big Four. Seems I was wrong to feel bad though, as guitarist Scott Ian admits that he isn’t even sure who the singer is. Wow, I’m willing to bet this fills Joey Belladonna (the current vocalist… so I’ve heard) with confidence.
When asked in a recent interview if Joey is in the band fulltime, Ian responded with “I don’t know”.

Lady Gaga-reflex dances to Metallica
Ridiculous Marilyn Manson lookalike, Lady Gaga, with her equally disformed twin, Lady Starlight, attempted to gain some Metal cred, by dancing to Metallica‘s classic, Metal Militia.
When asked how she feels about ‘tallica fans that claim she has no right to be dancing to Metal Militia, Lady Gaga responded that she loves Metal and that she has more penis than Kirk.

Alice in Chains change the face of music videos
Alice in Chains, the band named after a pedophile’s wet dream, have changed the face of music videos! Step aside, James Cameron, with your shitty 3D and ugly blue people.
Now, when I read this:
“The band has introduced an interactive music video experience for the band’s song “Acid Bubble.” Produced by Spy Films, director Nick Goso created an interactive space where users manipulate their perspective and experience 360-degree environments.“
My first assumption was: “Hey, pretty cool, so I get to watch the band perform or something from different perspectives, eh?”
WRONG. You see the inside of an esophagus, or something resembling internal organs, and all you do is look up, down, left or right, essentially seeing the same thing. What the fuck? This is the lamest, most deceiving description I’ve ever read about a video. Interactive my ass. Hey, if I ever wanna know what it’s like being eaten by a monster, I’ll give you guys a call.

When asked why their video is a bad 3D rendition of the inside of a colon, Alice in Chains had absolutely no comment, cause they were busy playing Quake.

Shakira covers Metallica
Colombian pop sensation and woman of my dreams, Shakira, covered Metallica’s hit (sellout) song, Nothing Else Matters, during her concert (which I wanted to attend, but couldn’t, DAMN!) in Montreal, Canada.
