Staind frontman disappoints (not again!)
Jay Nanda of the San Antonio Metal Music Examiner recently conducted an interview with Staind frontman Aaron Lewis. The interview brings to light some of the details in regards to the recording of the band’s latest record, and the internal friction between members.
While all of us here at Dose of Metal were hoping that these break-up rumors meant the end for Staind, Aaron seems to have sadly squashed this rumor.
“I don’t know. I know that when I’m done with this touring cycle, which will be a year from now, that my focus will turn and be completely on putting out my next solo record. And when I’m done with that solo record is how it will go. There’s certainly no reason to break the band up, and I don’t think there’d ever be a reason for the band to break up.”

In hope that Aaron will read this post, I have compiled a list of reasons as to why Staind should consider breaking up. For the 10 reasons, just make the jump.
New Arkaea coming
Remember Arkaea? The Fear Factor-ish side project by Raymond and Cristian with the guys from Threat Signal? Well, now it’s their main project (lulz), and ever since the whole “new” Fear Factory fiasco, they’ve kept kind of quiet, until recently when ThePRP dug out some info about a new album being planned.
I was never much of an Arkaea fan, but I’m pretty interested in hearing this, a) because they have a reason to be pissed and b) because they have a reason to prove themselves, now more so than ever. Let’s wait and see what comes out of it.
Metalloureedca has an audio preview
Lulu, the not-awaited album from Lou Reed and Metallica has a preview now. Does it sound as bad as we all thought it would? No… It’s worse.
Honestly, I can’t defend this crap, it sounds pretty bad.

Scott Ian sums up parenthood with Nike slogan
Scott Ian, of Anthrax fame, is a father now. Although many believed he had adopted a pet raccoon and stuck it to his chin, that was just a rumor I made up. But he really did give Meat Loaf a grandson, so check out how he describes ‘fatherhood’:
“You just do it!“

Wow, Scott, that’s some insightful shit right there. Are you trying to strike a deal with Nike, or what? Here’s my advice, if you want their attention, go for the ‘Big Four‘ pitch instead. Once they hear Metallica is involved, they’d be all “$core!!!” about it.
Seriously though, his answer is much more detailed than that, but you know me.
Congrats one more time on the mini-metalhead, Scott.
Metallica could hit this
That tight little package above is named Paula Fernandes, and she covered Metallica‘s ‘Nothing Else Matters.’ Needless to say, she’s a big Metallica fan, and she’s really looking forward to their gig in Rio. You know what that means, right?
“I am a big fan,” she said. “I hope to enjoy the show here in Brazil. It would be magic!”

Magic, eh? I know a couple of magic wand innuendos that will blow your mind, baby. Except Kirk, everyone else in the band should consider this.
Paula, if you’re reading this… I’ve written everything in Metallica, including NEM. I am their ghost writer and I am awesome. Skype me!
My money is on Rob, by the way. Check out her cover of ‘Tallica‘s classic song below:
