Random Dose of Metal: Judas Priest
Each week we post a ‘Weekly Dose of Metal’, but we also post a random Dose of Metal every so often, because we are called Dose of Metal after all. Normally the Weekly dose features some lesser known bands, whilst the random dose features some more established acts.
What’s the point? Well ultimately our opinions kick ass, and we like to think we make a difference to people’s lives around the world, by introducing them to kick ass music instead of the shit they play on radio.
So what’s today’s random Dose of Metal? Well it’s ‘A Touch of Evil’ by Heavy Metal legends Judas Priest. The song is taken from possibly my favorite Priest album, Painkiller, and the song is just full of power and the solo is amazing. The band are currently conning kids around the world into thinking they’re doing a farewell tour, and to be honest, I’m just a little bit gutted that I’m missing out.
Who are Ghost?
Apparently there’s some mysterious Swedish buzz band creating quite a bit of hype in the Metal world, called Ghost. Who are they? They dress like me when I go to work (which might explain why I’ve been fired from my last 3 jobs – since I’m not a Satanic priest) and perform some bizarre sort of 70’s Prog Rock mixed with Black Metal.
They don’t sound particularly good in the above video, so they’re probably just some randomers. Apparently James Hetfield likes them though, so they must be good.
Bill Bailey teaches the Devil Chord
English comedian Bill Bailey is hiding in a secret bunker somewhere (I do that too, apart from my secret bunker is my parent’s basement), preparing for his upcoming set at the UK’s Sonisphere festival.
You can watch a video of him above teaching us the wonders of ‘the Devil Chord’ as well as performing a a slightly different version of Slayer‘s ‘Angel of Death’.
Kids that like Metal

Back in March, I posted this. Basically, I was happy to see the 40-45 kids in the classroom rocking out and having fun to a great Iron Maiden track.
Anyway, for some strange bizarre reason, I’ve came across a video of my future son rocking out to Pantera! Unbelievable! Why? Because a few months back, I already knew this girl was going to be my daughter in the future.
Anyway, check out the boy going hostile!
Metallica still kick ass
There are many stereotypes associated with metalheads. Most of them are about hygiene, but one predominant stereotype seems to be “Let’s diss Metallica, because all pure metalheadz do it lolz!!1111″
I know what you’re thinking: But Alex, you make fun of Metallica all the time! True, but it’s tongue-in-cheek humor which is aimed at every band out there, not just them. It’s how we roll around here. I’m talking about people who genuinely try to take a shit on this band for the sake of taking a shit (on this band).
If you’re one of those guys who just never liked them, this article isn’t about you. If you’re a guy who liked/loved 80s Metallica, then just gave up being a fan because of 90s and especially early 2000s Metallica, this article isn’t about you either. If you spend your days commenting on each Metallica-related article on Blabbermouth, saying the same thing over and over again, and using the ‘sell out’ argument, this article is definitely about you. Bitch
So no matter how much you love or hate this band, continue reading this article and read my flawless arguments which contradict this popular trend with metalheads.
Fanboy alert!
