Metal Kino: Black Metal – A Documentary
In the last edition of Metal Kino, I’ve gone to great lenghts to explain my “morbid” interest in the Black Metal genre and the happenings around this scene. Also, I would like to point out that I’ve made a mistake last time. The first video I’ve posted actually wasn’t taken from the documentary that I wrote about but from Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey. Today’s Dose of Metal
Since this site is called Dose of Metal, we do a lot of ‘dose of metal’ posts where we give you, well, doses of metal.
I figured I’d add a thematic one, meaning it’s a clip from one of the bands written about in today’s news. Maybe I’ll do this daily, if I can be bothered.
Anyway, I’m starting with Trivium‘s Master Of Puppets cover. It stops right where the song gets interesting (interlude, first solo, etc…) so I give it a 5 out of 10.
Video interviews for the children!
Machine Head got interviewed at the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. That’s a long ass title for a festival.
Rise To Remain were interviewed above at Sonisphere. Only one question: Who the hell are they?
Malevolent Creation‘s drummer also got interviewed. By the look of the video (and the camera it was recorded with), it’s safe to assume this piece of footage is from the 60s. Part two here.
Staind helps you with karaoke
I like Staind as much as the next man, if the next man hates Staind. So imagine my lack of joy when I heard they have a lyrics video out. Oh boy, yet another YouTube video I need to avoid. I wish I lived in Germany and have most music videos blocked. (zing!)
So here’s a lyrics video so you can sing along and annoy your neighbors. The song is called… Wait, I have no idea what the song is. I don’t even care.
In other news, I have two red spots on my pubic area. STD or mosquito bites? You decide.
David Ellefstarbucks
Yes, I know it’s a dumb title, but what do you want from me? This isn’t the fucking Oxford blog, so insulting the English language is something we like to do. You don’t like it? Fine, be that way.
So, David is in Seattle and apparently he’s a big Starbucks fan. Such a big fan that he actually went to the original coffee shop that was made in the 70s (or something).
What’s cool about this video is that it’s actually properly recorded. It’s 2011, this is what a video blog should look like.
David, if you’re reading this, can you give fellow Big Four musician Charlie Benante some tips on HD video blogging? His poor channel has videos that look like they were made a few decades before that Starbucks opened.
