TesseracT officially announce new singer, bass player comments
The rumors are true: TesseracT have parted ways with their singer Dan Tompkins, and recruited Elliot Coleman instead (pictured above with the rest of the band). I’ll be honest, I thought the whole thing might have been just temporary, because at one point, rumors were going on that Dan was leaving to join a pop band. Apparently, he is gone fo’ shaw, and personally, I’m not really sure what to think. Dan’s voice was (despite my earlier jokes) kinda unique (at least compared to the average djent vocalist), and I’m not sure how I feel about the new guy, but let’s not judge things based on a shitty iPhone clip we saw yesterday.
You can read the official announcement here, and Metal Sucks has conducted an interview with band’s bass player, Amos Williams, which I recommend reading (btw, just how fucked up does the new guy look on that photo they posted?). Oh, and if you make the jump, you can listen to a song with their now former singer, Dan Tompkins.
Tuesday Trivia: Metal connection #1 – Nicolas Cage
There’s something pretty weird about Nicolas Cage. His movies are either pretty good, or pretty shit. Or Ghost Rider, which is a category of its own.
What the hell does any of that have to do with metal, you might ask? Well, as part of a short series of trivia articles I’m thinking of starting, I’ll be going places outside of metal to look for metal. Make the jump now, because it’s Tuesday Trivia time, bitch.
There is a God
Hallelujah, famous crapcore guyliner endorsers’ Avenged Sevenfold have announced they’re not thinking about a next album yet.
First Disturbed announced they were breaking up and now Avenged Sevenfold announce they’re not thinking about doing another album at this time. I think this year is getting better and better by the minute. Don’t you?
If you are interested in what Avenged Sevenfold ARE doing, then why not browse over to Blabbermouth before collecting your terrible taste in music award?
Stream a pussy
You can now officially stream the new Kittie album for free. Why you would want to, when you can stream pussy, is beyond me, but oh well.
I’ve Failed You, the sixth album from the the all-girl ‘Metal’ group Kittie, is available for streaming in its entirety at Exclaim.ca.

Wayne Static is super creative
What you can see above is a clip from Wayne Static‘s solo effort titled Pighammer. Besides the guitar tone and riffing being reminiscent of a Wisconsin Death Trip b-side, he was also very creative with the video. In case you missed it, he has something that looks like a hammer, and the girl has a pig nose sewn onto her face. Mind-blown. The girl is his wife, and his wife is a porn star, so maybe it’s just their little joke? “I’ma pighammer yo face, gurrrl” or whatever. Dick-blown.
I can’t be really too judgmental of the song, though — I’ll save that for when the full video comes out and his screeching vocals kick in.
