Sabbath Bloody Sabbath – a reunion in the works?
Could this be the comeback of the decade? Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward and the walking dead (Ozzy duh) have reportedly reunited Black Sabbath, with a new album to follow next year.
*fap* *fap* *fap*
Ok, so Ozzy has the vocal range of Steven Hawking, and as many brain cells left as I have pubes, but you just know that musically this should be fairly awesome. Well it’s got to be better than Black Veil Brides and the rest of the shit that’s currently clogging up Metal magazines’ space.
One thing I will put out there… Take this with a grain of salt. Allegedly Tony Iommi has confirmed to Birmingham Mail that the band have reunited, but Metal Hammer are claiming that nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
Get even more news over at Blabbermouth. I’d say this news is probably worth straying away from your porn for.
Audiorama
Keeping up with horrible puns, here’s another post. I combined audio and panorama, and got an ‘awesome’ title — audiorama. One more? I combined horrible and comedy, and got the following — Dane Cook. Press.
The thing above is the new Deftones video for Beauty School, so we even have a little videorama going on, nice. If you make the jump, you’ll get to hear/see a bunch of other lame ones! Awesome!
Streamaira
Stream + Chimaira = Streamaira. Wow, just where do I come up with this shit?
Anyway, 1 + 1 = 2 (and 1 = 0.999), so it’s pretty clear what I have for you today: Online stream of the entire new Chimaira album, The Age of Hell! You can check it out right here.
Tool guitarist joins the WWE
Tool, the “genius” band that take over five years after each album to rewrite the same album again and release it under a different name, allegedly may be working on a new album. They’re probably hard at work thinking of new and creative ways to rehash the same music.
During the long wait, Tool guitarist Adam Jones has joined the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for Summerslam. Well, I don’t mean he actually joined the WWE as a wrestler. Not that he didn’t want to or anything, it’s just Adam Jones isn’t an interesting enough name to be a wrestler. You have to have ultra mature names such as “Stone Cold” or “Miss Hancock” to make it big. So, instead Adam took the stage to perform a rendition of the U.S.A. national anthem.
You can watch a video of the performance above, unless you’re straight and above the age of 13, in which case you’ll have no interest in Wrestling.

Dave Mustaine is a horseman
Ever wondered what the story behind Metallica‘s ‘The Four Horseman’ song is? Me neither, but Megadeth will release a new album soon, so expect a lot of Metallica/James/Lars name-dropping from Dave until the album is out. It always happens.
So, here is Dave’s novel story about the name ‘The Four Horsemen’:
“I had always called us, as a group, the ‘Four Horsemen.’ Before I was in Metallica, I really loved this band called Montrose, and their guitarist was Ronnie Montrose. He went on to form a band called Gamma. One of their records had a shark fin cutting through the grass, which I thought was so awesome. Anyway, he had a song on there called ‘Four Horsemen’ that I did with my band Panic, which I was with before Metallica. So when I joined Metallica, I had the song ‘Mechanix’, which I wrote, and ‘Four Horsemen’ was a suggestion of mine to do ’cause we were doing cover songs. So that had planted the seed with James. And one day when we were coming to rehearsal, Lars had just said something about slowing down my song, ‘Mechanix’. I had just gotten to the studio with Cliff, and we had been listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd, and I was being a jerk, so I played ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ instead of ‘Mechanix’, and that’s basically the middle part of what would become Metallica’s ‘The Four Horsemen’.“
Full article here.
Hey, we didn’t need your whole biography, Dave. A simple “We wanted to cover another song called ‘The Four Horsemen,’ but my own song ‘Mechanix’ got slowed down, renamed and had a Lynyrd Skynyrd-like interlude because I was messing around with ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ in rehearsal.” would have sufficed.
I hope no one asks him where the name ‘Mechanix’ comes from, cause we’ll get another book out of it.
Anyway, all of this is from the “Big Four” issue of Revolver. Check it out here.
