Video interviews for the children!
Machine Head got interviewed at the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. That’s a long ass title for a festival.
Rise To Remain were interviewed above at Sonisphere. Only one question: Who the hell are they?
Malevolent Creation‘s drummer also got interviewed. By the look of the video (and the camera it was recorded with), it’s safe to assume this piece of footage is from the 60s. Part two here.
Metallica are calling the shots now
Charlie Benante of Anthrax recently revealed in an interview that Metallica are responsible for their getting their shit together and releasing their album this fall.
“I’ve got to say, Metallica and the whole Big 4 thing really gave us a kick up the ass. It was like ‘Right, get your shit together, let’s go’ and that gave us a deadline for the record.“
Watch interview here.
Anything Metallica says, goes, huh? That’s wonderful. Wait until they make you record an album with Lou Reed or something.
Staind helps you with karaoke
I like Staind as much as the next man, if the next man hates Staind. So imagine my lack of joy when I heard they have a lyrics video out. Oh boy, yet another YouTube video I need to avoid. I wish I lived in Germany and have most music videos blocked. (zing!)
So here’s a lyrics video so you can sing along and annoy your neighbors. The song is called… Wait, I have no idea what the song is. I don’t even care.
In other news, I have two red spots on my pubic area. STD or mosquito bites? You decide.
Scorpions: in 3D
Have you ever wanted to see a Scorpions concert in 3D? Me neither, that’s why the band will try to spite us and release a 3D concert.
“Our newest project comes out in the next few months. It gives you a chance to experience The Scorpions in 3D. You can actually feel the smoke string out of the guitar like it is a live show. It is an incredible experience. The DVD features our concerts in 3D in Germany. We are just about to do the mix and it should be in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia hopefully soon.“
Read full interview here.
I know, the quote is misleading. It makes you think it’s only for the Middle East and Saudi Arabia, right? Tough luck, cause the interview is from Arab News, so I guess he was just trying to be polite and say it will hit their region too. I’m sure Europe and North America will get it too. Dammit.
Anthrax’s new album cover is not too original
Anthrax‘s new album is called Worship Music and the album cover artwork is here. However, as Metalsucks also points out, it’s way too similar to their last album cover.
Maybe it’s a metaphor for how old the band members look nowadays.
I don’t know, I guess I like the artwork itself, I just hate the way they put the Anthrax logo up there. Looks like a 5 minute Photoshop job by someone who just discovered the “Layer Style” settings.
Guys, next time get Dusty Peterson.
But hey, at least it’s not a coffin in a vagina-looking hole, eh? Full cover after the jump.
