Corey Taylor disses Scott Weiland

Corey Taylor, the guy who released a Christmas song last year AND begged people on the internet to get it to #1, is now accusing Scott Weiland of selling out because he put a Christmas album out. Awesome.

More and more people are only interested in money than fucking doing anything that’s good. I’m not saying everyone, but there’s a lot of fucking people out there who would rather just take your money and leave you with nothing,” he warned the audience. “I’ll give you another example. Does anyone know who Scott Weiland is? Do you know that Scott Weiland has a Christmas album now? Oh, it’s bad. It’s bad.

Well, at least he didn’t call him a lazy piece of shit. Oh wait…

There is a video online of him singing, and he’s very serious. ‘Cause Christmas is serious. His hair is all slicked back and he’s in his shitty tuxedo […] and I’m just like, ‘Why?’ It’s not that he’s a bad singer, ’cause he’s not. I love STP, I love some of the shitt that he did with Velvet Revolver. It’s not that he’s a bad fucking singer. He’s a lazy piece of shit, is what he is at this point.

Corey seems to have an opinion on anything and everything, so hey, more power to him if he wants to do the whole ‘musician feud’ thing which is so 1999.

BUT, why invoke a Christmas album as a reason for selling out, when he did a Christmas song himself? It’s like Dino Cazares making fun of Michael Moore for eating too much.

Dave Mustaine can solve the world’s problems

Dave Mustaine doesn’t care for “Occupy Wall Street,” because the guy clearly ‘gets it’ and ‘sees the big picture.’ He also calls Michael Moore fat.

Everyone needs to shut up about this whole Occupy Wall Street thing. I think the protesters have very good intentions, but it’s an example of good being misled. The President is setting these guys up to be dead in the road. Everyone should protest at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue if they want some change. I also really hate some of these bleeding hearts, like Michael Moore, the fat dude who does these exposés. We don’t need more of that; we need lower taxes and governments that listen.

If you think Dave is not onto what the government is trying to do, think again. He got the master plan figured out.

My current fixation is that I’m sadly mesmerized by watching the news and how the government is destroying this country. It’s pretty obvious to me that they’re trying to get rid of the middle class. It also seems like we’re moving more towards a single world currency, and I find that very frightening.

DAVE MUSTAINE 2012!!! YES HE CAN!

By the way… Did I make a full HOPE poster with Dave? Of course I have. See it after the jump.

Learn how to play like Killswitch Engage

According to Blabbermouth, Lick Library is to release a ‘Learn To Play Killswitch Engage‘ double disc DVD, a collection of classic tracks to help you learn the best riffs and solos from the popular metalcore band.

I could save you some money though and teach you how to play like Killswitch Engage right now. First learn a typical At The Gates or In Flames riff (Whichever you prefer). Next learn a melodic piece suitable for a chorus. Then learn a typical hardcore breakdown. Finally, repeat ad nauseam.

Axl does “his best” to play on time, apparently

Sarah Rodman of The Boston Globe recently conducted an interview with Guns N’ Roses bassist Tommy Stinson. The bassist, in particular, discusses Axl’s reputation for turning up 38 hours late to concerts. Check out some excerpts below:

The Boston Globe: Is there any way to sit down with Axl [Rose] and say there’s no reason that fans should have to wait up to three hours between the opening act and Guns N’ Roses?

Stinson: There is no reason ever for that to be.

The Boston Globe: So why does it happen? What is happening during the time that people are waiting?

Stinson: You know what? I don’t even know. I just know that some days my boy gets [expletive] derailed. I know he does his best to get out there on time. He doesn’t want to make people wait and bum out on him but, again, he can’t play before he’s ready either.

The Boston Globe: Maybe he should start getting ready earlier then, because he must be paying all kinds of overtime and fines at these arenas which must be eating into the tour profits.

Stinson: You’ve got a good point there. You know, that’s never been something he’s ever given a [expletive] about. When he’s ready to put on his best show, that’s when he’s going to put it on, and if it’s on the late side, so be it. He’ll gladly pay the extra money.

You know what, Tommy? If I turn up 3 hours late to my job, I get fired. I don’t exactly perform “at my best” when I have to wake up for work at 6:45am, but I do it, because I have to. Frankly, I’d rather Axl had the respect for his fans to turn up on time and play the show the fans paid their hard earned cash for. The cash they probably earned by turning up to work on time and doing a good job. Maybe Axl should try that, huh? There isn’t any excuse for the disrespect Axl shows to his fans.
