Machine Head threaten to ruin my birthday
When it comes to Machine Head, I’m like the girl who puts up with years of physical and emotional abuse because she knows that, deep down, he’s the same man she fell in love with during that amazing summer they shared like 20 years ago. Because I’m still hoping for 1994 Robb Flynn to sweep me off my feet and tell me everything is going to be OK, I always try to see Machine Head when they come to my city. So it goes without saying that I was excited to see this on Blabbermouth the other day:
San Francisco Bay Area metallers Machine Head will embark on a North American headlining tour…
Hey, they’re coming to town on my birthday! Sweet! Wait… what was the rest of that press release?
…with support from Suicide Silence, Darkest Hour and Rise To Remain.
Shit. I didn’t see that coming. Let’s see what we’re working with here (after the jump).
Andy McKee to play with Dream Theater
This is a bit old news, but here it goes anyway. According to Dreamtheater.net, the fantastic guitar player that Andy McKee is will be joining Dream Theater on stage during their American leg of the tour.
Dream Theater is excited to announce a unique treat for our fans! During the December leg of our current world tour, spectacular acoustic finger style guitarist Andy McKee will be our special guest for the San Diego and Anaheim shows in California, the Mesa Arizona show, and three shows in Mexico: Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Mexico City.
…lucky bastards… And I’m not going to make it any clearer whether I’m referring to concert goers or Dream Theater…
Tuesday Trivia: Metal trivia board game
This week for Tuesday Trivia I have a short, meta and pretty kickass “Did you know?” for you guys (and that one girl from Thailand).
Make the jump!
Watch a Down concert without moving your lazy ass
If you’re too lazy, or cheap, or live too far away, to go to a Down concert then this is your lucky day. I’m pretty much your fairy god mother, only more foul-mouthed and less friendly (plus my balls are hairier).
Start by watching the video above, (taken from the band’s performance at SWU Music And Arts Festival on Monday, November 14 in Brazil) then make the jump for the rest of the concert.
