Steven Tyler isn't a Kid Rock fan
A couple of days ago Kid Rock called Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler out for his decision to be part of American Idol. Now, at a press conference Tyler said the following, after being asked what he thought of Rock’s comments;
“He’s just jealous, he’s just jealous. And he’s working his new record, so God bless him.”
Video after the jump.
Interesting, eh? What’s more interesting to me is that Tyler, in the above picture, looks like the result of someone crossing an ape and a leather couch.
Perry loves Tyler
There has been quite the publicity stunt a lot of drama in the press about Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, their fights, the disbandment, the whole shebang. But now Joe Parry has grown up and recently told an interviewer that he wishes Steven the best of luck. Awww *cue ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’ chorus*
“Steven wants to spend time in L.A. and do this,” Perry says of ‘Idol.’ “He’s always talked about doing stuff like that and I think he wants to try his hand at that. Let him go at it. That’s an interesting endeavor. I hope he’s really happy doing it.“

About time they grew up. But don’t be surprised if in the next interview the sparks fly again.
Kid Rock isn't an American Idol fan
Redneck rocker Kid Rock recently trashed Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler for his decision to be part of American Idol’s new season. Rock said the following in an interview with The Pulse of Radio:
“I think it’s the stupidest thing he’s ever done in his life. He’s a sacred American institution of rock ‘n’ roll, and he just threw it all out the window. Just stomped on it and set it on fire.”
Rock added, “I think whoever’s advising him, we should bring back the guillotine, or whatever they call that thing. And if it was himself, he needs some serious counseling. I love him to death, but I gotta speak the truth.”
I’d agree with him if I gave just the tiniest bit of a crap about American Idol, Steven Tyler, Aerosmith or Kid Rock himself but I just don’t.
Steven Tyler likes balls
You know by now that Steven Tyler is the new American Idol judge. Also, $20 says American Idol will have the lowest ratings ever this upcoming season… Anyway, you know from now on a lot of questions like “OMG HOW WILL YOU FIND TIME TO BE A ROCKSTAR NOW THAT YOU ARE ONTV??” will keep being asked, so might as well get used to it.
But check out how Steven answers this question in a recent interview. Is it just me, or is he being a bit more “male friendly” than usual?
“I’m married to four men. I mean, you think women are bad. Did I say that? So it’s a marriage, and there’s a lot of ups and downs, and we went through a period there — a slow period — where everybody was not feeling so good. […] So it just is what it is. It’s good, because it afforded us a down period, and we got a chance to look at each other. […] I can juggle a lot of balls, so it’s all looking good.”

Now, I’m not a homophobe. I like Wham! as much as the next man. But don’t those quote just feel a bit off to you? I was waiting for something like “And this one time, at band practice…” to come next.
Anthemsmith
New American Idol judge Steven Tyler will sing the national anthem at some hockey game or something. I dozed off midway through the news and I woke up in a daze, remembering nothing.
“Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler, will sing the National Anthem at the Bruins domestic home opener against the Washington Capitals at 7:00 p.m. at the TD Garden (100 Legends Way, Boston MA 02114.) Tyler is in town to help the Boston Bruins Foundation kick-off their season-long raffle for a customized Bruins motorcycle.“

When asked if he can fit two hockey pucks, side by side, in his mouth, Steven had no comment. He just raised three fingers.
