The Damned Things posted a new song online
Two weeks before their debut album is about to… debut, The Damned Things have posted a new song called “Little Darling” online. I thought they’d do some more promotion (like a video) since the release date is so close, but I guess they don’t give a shit about videos. Neither do I. Or they think Anthrax, Every Time I Die and Fall Out Boy fanbase’s word of mouth is enough of a promotion. I don’t know, I’m not a music industry analyst. All I know is that there was a time when the word of mouth of those three bands in the same sentence would grant you a foot in mouth.
Go here to listen to the song.
Some headlines, yo
Anthrax have a new song, which they performed live with Joey (pictured above). A decent clip of it from Chile, after the jump.
If you like Dimmu Borgir and you want to check out their full Atlanta gig, from November 10th, you’re in luck. You can find it here.
(Super) Mario Duplantier of Gojira has an art show. The good news is that it’s free. The bad news is that it’s in Bordeaux, France. More info here.
Jörg Michael of Stratovarius has cancer. Their keyboardist, Jens Johansson, wrote an update on their official site.
Anthrax + Sepultura sitting in a tree
Anthrax and Sepultura joined forces last night for a concert in some city in Chile. I am not good with foreign countries so I didn’t really get where this happened, so maybe you can help me out.
Not much else to say so read the full story here and make the jump to see some videos of them performing.
Review: The Big 4 Live From Sofia, Bulgaria (Deluxe Box Set)
June 22th, 2010 was one of the most metal days in the existence of… everything! The Big Four of Thrash Metal; Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax; not only played the same festival, the Sonisphere Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria, together. No, their performances were also recorded, edited and aired in over 800 cinemas all over the world, where over 100,000 fans watched the spectacle.
Now, a couple of days ago, the Box Set of the event was released. I bought it and shall do a short but to the point review for you within the next couple of minutes. Go on after the jump.
In addition, we will hold a Big Four Week soon (dates to be announced), where we will review each performance in-depth, as well as comparing the DVDs and Blu-Rays of the event and whatever else we can think of.
Are you evil?
The Big Four DVD/Blu-Ray will be released in a few days, but if you live under a rock and haven’t seen this on YouTube yet, the video of the four bands performing “Am I Evil” is available for free.
So get it here. You can also watch it on YouTube, after the jump, but keep in mind this is a different version, from a day or two after it happened. The iTunes one might be of better quality, so get that too just in case, don’t be lazy.
