What to expect from Anthrax's new album
I gave up trying to figure out who’s singing in Anthrax now and even if I knew, it could change at any second anyways so I’m just going with the flow.
This week’s vocalist, apparently Joey Belladonna, talks Anthrax’s new album. You know, the one recorded with a different singer that they’re now redoing? Got a headache yet?
“There are new lyrics being done right now and just the overall vocals are going to be brand new. Music-wise, there might not be a lot of recording. Who knows?! Again, it’s open to anything at this point, because you get a whole other shot at everything. But they are really happy with what they have, so there is not a lot of finagling going on”

So Joey doesn’t sound too sure, either. We’re guessing the band is just using the “rock paper scissors” technique to make decisions, which explains all the uncertainty.
Anthrax haven't forgotten about S.O.D.
Who remembers the Stormtroopers of Death? S.O.D. were one of the most influential Crossover Thrash bands of the mid-80’s. The band consisted of Scott Ian and Charlie Benante of Anthrax, Dan Lilker of Nuclear Assault and formerly of Anthrax, too and some completely untalented, racist fat guy called Billy Milano.
Recently Ian and Benante proved that they haven’t forgotten about S.O.D. when they performered the band’s classic ‘Milk’ during soundcheck, at their current tour with Slayer and Megadeth, with Megadeth’s Shawn Drover and Anthrax bassist Frankie Bello.

Joey Belladonna thinks Anthrax is a joke
…No, not really, I’m just being sensationalist. He thinks they’re humorous people. Some would say it’s a thin line between the two, but not me. I’ll just say Joey looks like he hasn’t washed his hair since the first time he’s joined Anthrax. Read the entire interview here.
John Bush doesn't want Anthrax
One of the former Anthrax singers (#7 and #9) John Bush recently did an interview for the Mars Attacks podcast, talking about why he didn’t want to re-join Anthrax on a permanent basis, after playing a couple of concerts with them last and early this year.
“The main factor was that I felt like it wasn’t really time for me to resume my lead singer role in Anthrax on a permanent basis. I kind of felt like not enough time had elapsed. You’ve gotta remember that the last Anthrax record was ‘We’ve Come For You All’, of original material, so if I would have [gone] back in and re-recorded [the vocal tracks on the unreleased Anthrax album ‘Worship Music’, which was completed with lead singer Dan Nelson] and resumed my position in the band, there would have been nothing in between that, and I just didn’t think that was… It didn’t feel right.”
On not joining Metallica in the early 1980’s, despite being asked to, Bush had the following to say;
“[Joining Metallica] just wasn’t my fate, it wasn’t my destiny. It would have changed metal in the most gigantic of ways and I wasn’t meant to do that. Of course I was always flattered that those guys had an interest in me way back. You’ve gotta remember — this was, like, around [the time of the release of Metallica’s] ‘Kill ‘Em All’ [1983]. It was way back early in the stages of their career and Armored Saint. And Armored Saint was doing well; we were starting to escalate in our popularity. So I didn’t wanna just go join some other band. I was , like, ‘Hey, this is my band, these are my friends. You guys are great, but I’m cool here.’ So it wasn’t my destiny and I can’t even imagine what life would have been like; who knows what would have happened? I would say it would have much more of a bigger mistake to not join Anthrax.”

No more Anthrax drama (?)
No more Anthrax drama, that seems pretty far stretched but at least former Anthrax singer Dan Nelson seems to have had enough of the drama and tried to clarify something he has posted on twitter last week.
In 2 posts, dated to past monday, Nelson wrote that “Things have gotten way blown out of proportion” and added that “Joey is a great vocalist, always has been”.
