Rob Halford likes Black Sabbath

Rob Halford

Rob Halford likes Black Sabbath. Their first album, that is. But we’re pretty sure he doesn’t mind the band either. Read his thoughts on it here.

P.S. What is more metal than Black Sabbath and Rob Halford? Black Sabbath with Rob Halford, of course. Video after the jump.

Ozzy is honest

Say what you will about Ozzy‘s live performance. Or ability to form a basic sentence. But he is funny, and honest, no matter whom he’s talking about.

Check out this excerpt from a recent interview, about a possibly Black Sabbath reunion.

QMI Agency: I spoke to Geezer Butler recently and he said he’d love to do one more Black Sabbath world tour.

Ozzy: I bet he would. (Laughs) Um, I’m not saying I wouldn’t do it. But not right now. I’ve got another year to finish my tour. And if I do a BLACK SABBATH tour, he’s got to promise to stop fucking moaning. Geezer, I love him. But he’s always on about something. He’s like, “Ohhhhh.” And I’m like, “Yeah, great to see you too, Geezer.”

This day in metal

Ozzy Osbourne

There was once a time when people did stupid things because of how good Ozzy was:

1984, 19-year-old John D. McCollum killed himself with a .22 caliber handgun after spending the day listening to Ozzy Osbourne records. One year later, McCollum‘s parents took court action against Ozzy and CBS Records, alleging that the song “Suicide Solution” from the album Blizzard of Ozz contributed to their son’s death. The case was eventually thrown out of court.

Nowadays I see a new generation of kids getting to depressed when they see what Ozzy and Sabbath have (or to be more precise – haven’t) done in the last 10-15 years.

New Heaven & Hell clip

If you’re planning on buying a metal DVD for a Christmas gift, I highly suggest going with Heaven & Hell “Neon Nights”.  It was recorded live during the summer of 2009 at the Wacken Open Air festival and will be released November 16th/2010.

The DVD is a must have if you are fan of the three Black Sabbath albums with Dio, and the Heaven & Hell debut album.

Make the jump for the track listing and clip for Children Of The Sea.
