Chris Cornell is fulfilled
Chris Cornell seems to be very happy with the current Soundgarden reunion, calling it ‘hugely fulfilling.’
You know what’s not fulfilling? The fucking Big Mac. It looks good in the advert, but once you get it it’s all slimy and shit, you eat it and 10 minutes later you’re hungry again. So you get another one, and another one, until you get kicked out of planes for being too fat. Then you keep confort-eating because you are morbidly obsese, so fuck it, right? Might as well keep getting fatter.
So you go on and on and on until everyone around you laughs at you, then you commit suicide. All because McDonald’s fucking lied in their advert. Cunts.
Soundgarden album is ‘mostly’ done
According to a recent interview on Billboard.com, the new Soundgarden album is ‘mostly done.’
“It’s mostly done, we just need to finish a couple of songs and mix it, so that will be happening probably over the holidays.“

See? What, didn’t believe me?
Soundgarden haven’t released an album since 1996, so they’re about as relevant as a VHS tape. But hey, Chris has a decent voice so we’ll see what happens.
Friday Top 10: Worst band transformations
Fresh of the recently debuted Korn‘s dubstep track, I got an amazing (and very original) idea for a Top 10: let’s take a look at some of the most drastic transformations in hard rock and metal.
List is mostly based on music, though we all know metal goes hand in hand with fashion, so we’ll feature some of that as well. Read on to find ten examples of some of the most horrific, embarrassing or simply plain stupid transformations, in what is could be the first out of two articles.
Chris Cornell solo acoustic tour
Chris Cornell, of Soundgarden (and once Audioslave) has announced a solo acoustic “Songbook” tour, running from April to May 2011. This will be his first acoustic solo tour, in which he will perform songs from throughout his career, as well as a few “surprise” covers.
This news, despite getting me about as excited as I was when my Girlfriend took me to see Brokeback Mountain, is surely better than him announcing a Macbook tour. Seeing as his last album was some synth-pop tripe, made on a Macbook, I thought he may go for that angle instead.
Dates after the jump.
Guitar Heroes
Having effectively flushed his solo career down the toilet, Chris Cornell and the reformed Soundgarden are eager to announce a “groundbreaking” deal that will bring their “new” album, entitled Telephantasm, to the Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock video game, one week prior to the launch of the album. “Awesome”. But why is Slash in the picture above, one might ask?
Well, it seems our favorite clown has been truly busy lately. Amongst other thrilling activities, which you have been able to read about here at Dose of Metal, he’s found time to get involved with Jimi Hendrix: Guitar Hero DVD. Fortunately for us, this is not another Guitar Hero game. Unfortunately for us, someone thought Slash was a good choice for a narrator. Blasphemy, we know.
