Drummer needed. Second arm optional.

As you might know, there are 9 arms in Def Leppard, which is kind of cute in a “Ripley’s Believe it or not” kind of way.

So when I hear that a band called Pyromania is looking for a one-armed drummer, I’m thinking it’s either a “The Fugitive” tribute band or they want to emulate Def Leppard. Guess it’s the latter, which is also cute, in a Victorian sort of way.

“Pyromania, a Def Leppard cover band based in Dallas, Texas, is currently looking for a new drummer with only one arm, just like actual Leppard drummer Rick Allen. Their hand-written ad also insists that the prospective percussionist must have “no prosthetics” and should own a “flame retardent kit and stick.“

So if you are a drummer, have one arm, pro gear and no prosthetics, give these guys a HAND and join a tribute band. Imagine how easy the audition process is.. “Can you clap?” “No.” “You’re in the fucking band.”

For an extra laugh, on the same page of that article there’s news about some rapper called T.I. getting a handjob in prison or something.

Def Leppard isn't really def if it's doing radio

Def Leppard‘s drummer Rick Allen can play drums with only one hand. So that begs the question, how come Lars Ulrich can’t play drums with two hands? Although Lars can clap his hands so I guess that evens it out.

Anyway, Rick and his wife, Lauren Monroe, hosted an episode of some radio show and interviewed Billy Idol and Serj Tankian there.

Inkd Leppard

Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen got his first tattoo alongside his new wife. And because nobody really cares, they made it on that show ‘L.A. Ink’ just to spite you.

We have an idea for a show, too. It’s gonna be called ‘L.A. Prosthetic’ and we know just the guy to call for our pilot episode.

VH1 Leppard

Def Leppard, the only rock band in the world who can’t say “Throw your hands in the air” without seriously offending their drummer, will put the 1 in VH1 this November.

“Phil Collen will tape a segment for VH1 Classic‘s “That Metal Show” later today in the Los Angeles area. The episode featuring Collen will be broadcast on November 6 as part of the program’s sixth season on VH1 Classic.“

Okay, so not the whole band (although when it comes to Leppard, “whole band” is a relative term), just their guitarist. But still, check it out if you’re a fan.

Def Leppard singer finally speaks

Def Leppard, the band with the greatest parking privileges, finally speak on the controversial Motley Crue (sorry, don’t have those symbols on my keyboard) comments.

It will be on some radio show from some radio station but I’m way too lazy to dig up the whole article, so you’ll have to figure it out on your own.

When asked if he buys one drumstick at the time, the Def Leppard drummer had no comment.
