A time for giving
An average metalhead probably doesn’t care about Christmas, and even less about Deftones, but it doesn’t mean we can’t be nice. Everyone knows that their bass player, Chi Cheng, had a car accident which left him in a state of coma, and his family pretty much broke.
The thing you can do to contribute is to buy a song by Sol Invicto (Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter‘s side project), which is a remix of “Diamond Eyes.” I know what you’re thinking, “I might as well go and buy the new Linkin Park CD,” but this song is only $0.99, not as shit, and ultimately serves for a higher cause. Think you've seen the butcher?
Think again. An alternate version of the Deftones‘ newest single has been posted online for streaming. The song is a b-side on the recently released single “You’ve Seen The Butcher,” and it’s a collaboration between Deftones‘ Chino Moreno and Far‘s Shaun Lopez. And you’ve probably guessed it, it’s an acoustic/electric, soft take on the song or as they like to call it, “Midnight Airport Version.” Yawn. Make the jump and listen to it yourself.
Defstep
Are you deaf? The chances are if you’re a fan of dubstep, you probably are. Hell, some would argue if you’re a fan of Deftones, you’re probably deaf. So chances are, all you hearing impaired music fans will love this Dubstep remix of Prince. Check it out yo.

Deftones have a new video, the song is called “You’ve Seen The Butcher“, and it’s got a bunch of girls and gallons of blood. Just like my usual sexual intercourse. And it’s just as awesome. Watch it after the jump.
