Deicide are still Bible Bashers
One of Jesus Christ’s favourite death metal bands ever, Deicide are back with a new album out February 15th, titled To Hell With God (haven’t they had a title similar to that in the past? Seems like it). They have also decided to stream the entire album on their record labels website, Century Media.
Have I listened to this? Not yet. I’ve been too busy tonight talking on a phone with a Russian escort that just turned 19 and has 34 FFF breasts. It’s costing me a fortune to bang her today on Valentine’s day but it will be worth it for those huge jugs!
Enough of that, back to Deicide, check out the album here . If you enjoy what you hear, don’t be cheap and order it for $10.
Dose of Death
Why the cheesy image? Because I don’t take myself seriously, and neither should you. Welcome to my weekly feature where I’m normally drunk and/or hungover, and write some garbage about music in a way that makes me sound more knowledgeable than I really am. Or maybe I just fail at that..
The topic for this week: Death Metal. Admittedly, not my favorite genre, but one that fascinates me all the same. Death Metal is an extreme sub-genre of Metal (no, really?) that began in America (particularly Florida) in the 1980s. But I’m not fucking Wikipedia and this isn’t no history lesson, I’m just here for the music, and so should you be, so get your Death dosage after the jump. Don’t worry, an overdose won’t lead to death. Only awesomeness.
Learn to make noise like Deicide
Have you ever desired to be able to play guitar like Deicide? If you have ears, of course you haven’t, but that hasn’t stopped these guitar lessons making their way onto the internet.
If you want to learn how to play like Deicide, don’t bother with the video. Instead, just crank up your distortion and play any old discordant crap as fast as you can. If it sounds like garbage, you’ve got the sound down to a tee. Congrats and well done.
When asked if the band themselves had considered taking lessons, Deicide refused to comment.
Lessons here.
